Neither Ronda nor Conor will ever be continuously gracious in defeat, they are just looking for a chance to talk shit.

In my opinion the RDA fight starts with RDA kicking legs putting McGregor off balance, then after some softening up he takes him down, takes the back and it's an even faster GNP/choke win ala Nate.

Agreed. I think at FW, he feels like he can eat one to give one, because most guys down there can't hold up to his left hand. And he's been right. The FW's have proven that they can't take that left hand. But he just fought a 155er that took several of them. Nate's not a natural WW. People seem to forget that. He's got a great chin and a ton of heart, but he's a LW. And he just laid out the blue print to beat McGregor. I am big fan of McGregor...how he fights, how he promotes himself, how great he is w/ the fans, etc. All of it. But I truly dont think he will beat Aldo again. I think he will lose to Edgar. I think Max Holloway would give him all he wants if they fought again. And I definitely can't see him beating RDA, Khabib, Ferguson, etc....unless he makes some drastic improvements in his ground game.

Just my opinion.

Just ignore him, he'll eventually get banned again (hopefully for longer this time) or he'll go away

By knocking RDA out!

That's what's up!
hard to do when you're on your back getting beat on...RDA will take him down like mendes but pass guard and nighty night...styles make fights..and any good grappler is bad news for him...

I think Conor overestimates his power because he's KO'd some FW's. I really do. I dont think he's going to be buzzsaw KO'ing LW's like he believes.
That's my thought. If he keeps this line of thinking up, he'll never have the success at LW that he's had at FW. Nate is a LW fighter, and it killed Conor's cardio and fighting spirit when he threw everything at Nate and didn't get the KO.

Frankie's been the LW champ, he's been hit by bigger guys with at least equal power to Conor. If Conor lands a few good shots and Frankie's still there and still able to put him on his back and pound him, will Conor fold again? This mindset he has is very intriguing for future fights.

I personally feel that it's detrimental to his game. His game is all about confidence in his power and his ability to stop people. If that's all he's got, he's going to continue to have trouble with guys that can take his power and maul him on the ground.

I still think Conor had the tools to beat Nate, but gassed after going for the KO too fast too soon. He also abandoned the leg kicks & body kicks way too early. Jack Slack's breakdown talked about Conor's more or less a one handed fighter who looks for the big straight left, & after the 1st, he couldn't land it against another southpaw with a longer reach.

For Conor to ever have any success at '55, he needs to be built up slowly, like he was when he first came to the UFC. The lightweight meatgrinder comprised of RDA, Nate, Ferguson, Kabab, etc will destroy him right now. And before that, he needs to fight Edgar & see if he can survive Frankie's relentless takedowns and ground game.

He's young enough to improve. We'll see how things play out for him

No, why?
But this pic makes me wanna hug Conor and ask him what this weird thing on his chest is.
As far as his claim goes. He just fought a 155er. And RDA is not even close to 145.

I was judging a book by its cover and that guy just looked like a douche and had a very punchable face.

He has made no excuses for the loss. Stop trolling.

"Nate came in, I felt I took him in the first round, but I was inefficient with my energy."

You had a full camp and started strong and just gassed yourself out?

"Usually, when I fight a man in the division I am champion in and they crumble under those shots. But Nate took them very well. I think the weight allowed him to take those shots well."

Nate had an advantage because he's bigger than me.

"It wasn't ideal, I got caught. It is what it is. I'll face it. I'll take it on the chin. And I'll carry on. I'll learn from it. And that's it."

"Got caught"? Aldo got caught, Conor ate a series of punches that lead to him being rocked.

Sorry friend, but those are excuses, and now he's coming full circle by saying "Well, I'd have beaten the other guy who I was supposed to be fighting."

If Conor had gone into Saturday night as disliked as Hendricks is, people would be teeing off on him for this laundry list of nonsense. He simply lacks the tools to compete with bigger fighters. On Wednesday he was going to beat Robbie Lawler, but Saturday night we saw him unable to drop, or take shots from Nate.

For reference, this is how Nate's last welterweight fight went:

not in the ground game necessarily... if he gets takedown defense really, really good, he can stop takedowns and if he gets good enoguh conditioning he can keep the pressure on if he doesn't finish a fighter early. he can be just like chuck lidell was except with fancier and prettier movement/strikes

also, conor still has the best striking (except for maybe aldo) at 145, and probably the best at 155...
he didn't come out victorious this time, but if you r all thinking he's been exposed.. he hasn't. we all knew his weakness was the ground game.. and i've known that he keeps his chin exposed a lot.. a few tweaks, a tuck of the chin, a lot and a lot of takedown defense training and some improved ground game (can't say the fight will never go there) and he's almost unbeatable
