This most likely isn't a deadman switch but a deadman switch is an automated message to be sent to the world dumping every bit of knowledge they have should anything happen to them

Usually it is setup that you have to login to deactive it at certain times or it will automatically be sent

It was the video released by Wikileaks that came from Bradley manning
It shows the military firing on people I Baghdad that turned out to be civilians, including children
It was massacre and the talk between the military guys is fucking disgusting

Wikileaks fucked up by not cutting out callnames and shit like that like they really should have
The proper care was not taken at all with the release and was mostly used by Wikileaks to get their name out

I am making a statement after a literal decade of Assange, a public figure, making moves that are helpful to him but often biased...not for the truth, as was supposed to be WikiLeaks goal.

I have often wondered if he doesn't have more self-interest because maybe there is blackmail against him.

He had a show on RT and pushes Russian propaganda.

Or if no blackmail...
Maybe he knows truth that just has him bias against the US and the Russian angle is seen as an ethical one given what he knows?

Regardless, I'm impressed if anybody hold strongly that Julian Assange is not a voracious self-promoter... often above the organization for which he's supposed to hold as a beacon.

The smear campaign against Assange is obvious and shouldn't be bought into. It's one thing to talk about the shifty shit he pulls like editing the 'Collateral Murder' video (watched in its entirety, it's still a really fucked up incident that results in innocent children being shot), but it's another to just immediately launch ad hominem attacks as if you are partisan pundit spewing out prepared talking points.

Whether or not he is a rapist cult member or not is irrelevant, what matters is whether the information he presents is valid or not. Those who have an interest in silencing people like Assange want people to focus on his personal flaws, not the information he publishes.

Same would go for Snowden, or other whistle blowers, they get labeled in an attempt to somehow blur the information they bring forth. The information should still be examined.
