Yikes, SF loses the best LT in the league. Not a great sign for those of us who don't want to watch two teams punt for 3 hours.

Yep
but 2 points is 2 points

I enjoy watching offenses get their asses beat up
defensive scores are my favorite plays
Comments on the river I'm watching:

"I started watching this game because I was bored. Mistakes were made."

"Some guys saying this game's boring. It's just funny."

What was that play? The RB just slowly ran into the middle of a scrum, then fumbled. This is actually getting painful to watch now.

My stream went all screwy, SF missed a FG then it went to crap. Came back and they had scored a FG, what happened? Did they actually get some offense going?

they made that FG IMO

Broncos then looked bad on offense(Wilson), and punted
Niners got one first down and looked good?, then they looked bad and got smoked by denver pass rush

Soooo we are still 10-5 with denver wondering why they paid 8 draft picks and 250 Million for Wilson

People on the stream said it time warped, the 49ers did miss a FG when the scores were 7-5, it must have jumped exactly to that point. refreshed and they had 3 more points lol.

Wilson was so accurate when I saw him play for Seattle. What's happening tonight? Does he just need time to settle into the scheme?

Ooooooh Denver could kill this game with a first down or two.

Lol who am I kidding? I predict 3 and out, then it's up to the Denver D to win it :)

why bet on your offense in this game

feels like it should be played in heavy rain or snow and mud

Lol, it's fate that this game should be decided on an incompetent offensive play.

Congrats Rambo John J @Rambo John J, winning ugly is still winning!

It didn't feel like Denver won that one, more like San Fransisco lost it worse than Denver did :)

Denver D put a foot in that ass for 55 minutes of the game

Niners blew it but it wasn't like they were missing open receivers or had a lot of time to throw the ball on offense, they had one good drive then got shut down mostly

I'm surprised he gets such a negative reaction, maybe I missed something?
He's a highly unlikeable guy.
Not that I'm a USC fan, but he left that program in shambles. They still aren't back to what they were.

And like I said before - he chews gum like a cow.

Can't argue with the gum chewing thing, but a browse of Wikipedia seems to contradict your USC claims.

Apparently when he took over, USC were the only Pac-10 football team to never finish in the national top 10 during the previous decade, and he took them on to two national championships, and seven consecutive top 4 finishes. If they have failed since he left, perhaps you should look at the ones who have coached there since then, unless you can point to something specific that he did that caused a downturn for the next dozen years?

He's also known to be well liked by the players who played under him.

They had a 2 year postseason ban, 3 years of zero scholarships, vacated their 2004 championship game and effectively went 0-13 in 2005 due to vacated wins. Banned from bowl games in 2010 and 2011. Reggie Bush had to give back his Heisman Trophy.

This all happened due to violations that occured under Pete Carrol's watch. Just before the punishments were announced, Pete bolted free and clean for the NFL.

He's a fucking weasel.
And the talking heads all give him a pass.

Plus - He chews gum like a cow.

Well it appears that I didn't scroll down far enough in the Wiki article to find that.

Scrolling down further, however, there is a big section regarding criticisms of the USC sanctions, how they were used to try to scare everyone else into line (as basically all the big colleges were up to something), and how later scandals involving other colleges (e.g. Miami and Oregon) were punished far more leniently. Apparently even Penn State had their punishment for the child sex abuse scandal reduced to less than USC got after they appealed.

Sounds like USC and Carroll got scapegoated for things that were common practice amongst the top college football programs.

It sounds like it's a bit harsh to lay the blame at Carroll's feet for that.
