If the guy didn't already have a history of dirty hits i'd be more likely to think it was just a mistake. He got suspended 3 games in part for his " repeated violations of rules intended to protect the health and safety of players."

I am speaking to the sliding late in general, it is a chickenshit rule and move. You can't become a runner to gain yards and then expect protection. It is very similar to the Mahomes sideline antics which you don't enjoy. The rule is BS. IMO when you become a runner as a QB anything should be allowed other than face masking.
