I saw an opinion somewhere that had Cam Ward and Shadeur Sanders been in last year's draft, then either one of them would have been rated as the 5th best prospect or lower, maybe 6th or 7th.

Are QBs such a highly sought after commodity that they go in the top 2 - 3 picks regardless this year?

None are guaranteed to hit, so you kind of have to take a shot or a few shots to land one that will work in the league.

Daniels could just as easily been a bust, you never really know until you get them in camp and see them deal with the speed of an NFL Defense in camp and then on gameday. Turns out he has composure and is a great athlete.

They say Ward is the best processor of the draft which is usually a good sign that they can at least be average and start for a few years, last year the best processors were probably Bo Nix and Daniels due to their vast experience playing against high level college teams. Nix looked like the least gifted athletically of the bunch which is why he got selected 6th, although against NFL defenses he actually showed he is very athletic as well as smart.

If a QB looks like they could be worth a shit in the League they go top 15 pretty much guaranteed, the guys that go after that have a red flag or glaring deficiency on film or off the field.

Anytime someone has to mention that a QB is a 'superbowl winning qb' that's a sure sign that QB is as washed up as they get.

When manning signed with the broncos, they never said 'sb winning qb peyton manning'

When brady signed with tampa, they never said 'sb winning qb tom brady'

Yep
Wilson and Winston?
I don't see what they are thinking
Winston can be a bridge with Nabers catching some forced passes, I get it if you are gonna try and develop somebody for half a season.

Wilson is cooked, he is a sack machine and the league has known for 6 years exactly how to stop him...he is bad pre snap, one read, 50/50 deep ball chucker, and only throws to the sidelines and only to wide open guys. No anticipation, bad pocket presence, and fading athleticism.

Drew lock is a step down from those guys but he is cheap as hell and the Giants whole roster needs talent, probably should have spent that money on a couple free agent NFL starters instead of two fading backup QBs.

They gonna draft Cam Ward or something?

The NFL has reportedly added the "nose wipe" celebration to the list of banned celebrations, and will now result in a 15-yard penalty.

The celebration will now be considered "unsportsmanlike conduct," the same category as "a throat slash or simulating firing or brandishing a gun."

browns are the worst run franchise in the league. imagine looking at dak and thinking 'that's our guy'
If the Browns are paying massive guaranteed money to Deshaun Watson, and they sign Dak who is on huge money, how do they make that work? Do they have some incredible amount of cap space remaining? Didn't they recently re-sign Miles Garrett to the biggest defensive player contract in NFL history?

I have my doubts over that story.

Yeah seems like it was debunked. It was cited as coming from a reliable source but apparently it's BS. Would've probably involved a swap of watson and dak to make it work which I suppose might not have been the worst thing in the world.

while still paying a huge all time horrible contract on Watson? Unless they are trading Watson and his huge cap hit?

The answer is obviously to draft a cheap QB and start building a team, but they are gonna take on more money on often injured Dak? that is bad GM 101

OK hear me out, what if I did something completely original and stood sideways on, signalling first down with both arms, one straight and the other bent? That'd set me apart from all those other guys!

/s

Being serious, completely agree with getting rid of the constant first down signalling. Plus spinning the ball on it's end after a successful play, mimicking throwing a flag when they want a foul, etc. etc.

Just play the fucking game.

When you score a TD, then you can do your gay little dance.
