How Bout Them Dawgs! Fan_of_Fanboys @Fan_of_Fanboys

Probably won't win anything of significance this season but it's always fun beating those sorry ass hillbillies. 8th in a row vs those clowns.
A lot is made of UGA's record v Alabama, and rightfully so. But UGA is pretty good vs the rest of their rivals. Looking at trends:
V Auburn - 8-0 and 17-3 in the last 20
V Florida - 4-0 and 7-1 in the last 8 (10-4 in the last 14)
V GaTech - 6-0 and 19-3 in the last 22
V USCe - 4-0 and 9-2 in the last 11 (Damn you Spurrier. USC's only 3 game win streak ever over UGA was just before that)
V Tennessee - 8-0 and 14-3 in the last 17
And just for fun v Clemson - 3-0 and 8-1 in the last 9

Not too shabby

Copy and paste from another site-

"If (when) we beat GT in 2 weeks Kirby will have 7 seasons where he beat Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech.

Before Kirby Smart arrived at Georgia we only had 4 of those seasons in history."

UofL has Pitt this weekend. After completely shitting the bed at Stanford, I have no idea what to expect.

My body is ready to lose to Auburn. Yes it is possible.
While it would be entertaining, I almost want to see what AU does if Coach Freeze drops this one and the Bama game. Surely they’re not fixin to shell out more millions. Maybe they want to out-Auburn themselves and cut him loose.

"I've talked to other coaches. The reward to get a bye in the CFB versus the risk to be knocked out completely…that's a really big risk"

Not very often I agree with this dipshit but he's right this time.

Talking about playing the SEC championship game btw

Three options:
1) Miss the SECCG, make the playoffs. Maybe you get a home game, maybe not. But you are still getting a bye week, it's just earlier. And if you get the home game this seems like the best option imo
2) win the conference championship. You get a first round bye, and in theory a weaker opponent in your first game. At least one that played last week while you sat at home.
3) lose the conference championship game. Worst case all around. Maybe you miss the playoffs as a result. Or maybe you don't get the home game and you're on the road vs a team that didn't play in a CG so they're better rested.

I don't think the CG will go away, too much money. But the SEC was the first conference to have a CG and then everyone else followed. And it really benefited the SEC, especially during the BCS era. Maybe they'll lead the way again to eliminate it, especially if they don't get the four guaranteed spots they want.

Yeah imo you have to protect the 2 best teams. Especially the way it is now with no divisions.

If Texas loses to A&M and it puts them at 10-2. Their best win is Vandy. tOSU loses this weekend and are 10-2 with their best win being Penn State. Interesting times.
