I never wrestled, but I can only imagine the feeling of having to go against a guy like Mitchell Mesenbrink. He never stops attacking. He beat the #2 guy last night by TF. The only move Caliendo had was to stall - which he got called on 3x, including the decisive points.

If you have access to HULU or through regular cable you can watch college wrestling, specifically Big 10, through the Big 10 or Big 12 or ACC networks. With college football gone until August I watch college wrestling, mma, oddly a ton of golf.

Bo Bassett chose a career full of injuries and no international competition for the money at Iowa. Good luck kid.

He did get his first tech fall so that's nice.
I know this is old but sectionals were a few days later. He took first, and got two more tech falls. The state championship was that following Saturday, he was the #1 seed going in.

Got sick that Thursday, fever, chills, tested positive for the flu. Just couldn't go. Sucks, this entire season was a wash. But hopefully just sets him up a successful sophomore year.

Couple matches:

And for those that don't know Indiana is arguably the toughest state to win a state championship. No divisions, just one kid in the entire state can win at each weight
NYS is kind of the same, there are sectionals with 4 different classes. Classes are made up of the size of your school. Each class has their own tourney (a,b,c,d). Top 3 from each class tourney goes to super sectionals which is the whole section combined. Winner from super sectionals then goes to state tourney.

Oh I didn't know that. I thought Indiana was the only state with a single champ per weight

Still hurts. Still doing PT. But our season is over, he's on to track. I'm hoping a couple months not wrestling helps. Going to start club in May, plus swim and wrestling camps in June

Hopefully just needs more time
