Just make sure you claim to as much of the Arctic waters as possible and you should be fiiiiine.

Oh yeah, and focus on your greens: your marijuana and renewable energy.

I agree. I heard a high ranking executive opining for a war to bring the price back up. The guy is a multi-billionaire, he will be fine whatever happens.

Looks like we both recognize that we are both stunningly correct and intelligent. ;)
You forgot "incredibly handsome"

Canadian strip clubs ballets are far superior to those in the USA.

BC has world renowned stick icky.

US dollar is about to buy a shitload in the great white North.

Hockey rocks, if you fuckers would just explain to us yanks a little bit. Beer and fist fights? We understand that. You're marketing it all wrong.

I saw where half you fuckers live in Kelowna...so beautiful I thought it was CGI.

If y'all would just legalize the greenery, you could easily pick up some serious tourism.

The fundamentals are solid...you guys will be alright.

I'm thinking about nominating you for citizenship. How do you feel about Blue Rodeo?

68 cent dollar was when our economy was kicking ass on account of manufacturing. Those jobs went away as our dollar rose. As for oil, as long as we're supplying most of America's, we're a pretty big player on that front.
last time our dollar was around a US dollar i got laid off.we make drill grease for exploration drilling and most of our sales are in nevada and new mexico.when our dollar was high we didnt get any american grease orders for almost 2 years.they like to buy canadian when their dollar goes far.when it doesnt then they buy american.we got a few companies business back but lost halliburton.

Sound as long as you're not shouting about being the " greatest military" in the world when you primarily fight vastly under armed opponents. People (not you) are bragging about Jones V Dillashaw that's a bully mentality man.

If I was in their field; probably.
Did you miss Saddam's declaration of war on Ireland?

How os it being a bully? If i challenge you to a gun fight and you bring a knife thats not my fault. Maybe you shouldnt pick fights with better prepared people. Technology is a bitch if you are on the wrong side of it.
How is he picking a fight if you challenge him?

No, but he's dead the had a show killing or did you forget, if Ireland continues to whore itself out as a US airstrip, we become a legitimate target. It's simple political math.

The low dollar is already negatively impacting consumers and our economy is indeed energy dependent. For Canada to be functioning smoothly economically it needs a strong energy economy in the West, solid banking and financials in the largest markets (Toronto) and a healthy manufacturing industry in Central Canada. Right now we have decent banking and financials, at least.

All of our other industries are ancillary to those three.
If that oil money had been reinvested in research then perhaps we wouldn't be singing the blues right now. But it's not too late, Finland is an example of a country in which the politicians made the right decision long ago and that decision was to invest in education. Whether it be trade school, a poly-technical institution or university, if a Canadian was guaranteed free-post secondary education dependent on their academic performance then we'd see a huge turn around over the course of 10 years. But no one has the guts to do it and everyone who's had to pay through the nose for their education somehow thinks the next generation should as well.

We have Massive resources and that means the potential for massive industry gains....the sooner we get creative, the better.

Well at least you have healthcare free. Untill the tax dollars quit coming in and they can no longer pay for it.
I'm pro-universal, don't get me wrong.

But our system has serious problems. It's not as good as some butthurt Americans/Canadians like to claim. I saw a guy sit unconscious and bleeding from the face in an ER until nursing staff was pressured by other patients to do something. I once sat in an ER with the symptoms of a brain aneurysm for 12 hours without seeing a doctor (several family members have had them and I had a massive headache, which never happens to me). Eventually, I just gave up and went home, taking my chances.

People are constantly getting infections from surgery in our hospitals. There aren't enough beds. Elderly people lie on gurneys in hallways.

It's great to not have to worry about paying at the point of use. But, in a lot of ways, at a lot of hospitals, it's a major shit show.

1) Bro, come on now. This isn't the US, we really can't make the same complaints. University is cheap. How much cheaper does it need to get? Surely users can chip in a couple of bucks. We're not talking 30k per semester here.

2) We already are exporting a lot of resources. In what way could we be more creative?

3) What do you mean "if that oil money had been reinvested in research then perhaps we wouldn't be singing the blues"? The oil industry has made big technological gains in recent decades. The entire oil sands now uses less than 1% of the annual Athabasca river flow and quickly recycles 85%+ of what it uses. Refining is much more efficient now.

I ask this respectfully, of course...
