They need to find a way to get fighters more TV time to build their personalities & have casuals connect
In this ADD era, the way combat sports works is tougher & tougher to get people connected when it is 1-2x a year.
isn't that a direction he went back in the steroid trial days when he wanted to get away from any involvement with the athletic commissions, etc.?
Terming it SE, he did, but he still allowed use of the word "wrestler" for years.
He coined "SE" before the steroid trial though.

This. Numbered events should be special Imo. I don't care if they keep the same number of events, try to put them on free tv to build towards paperviews. Tv is the place for fighters to make a name for themselves. Ppv should be packed with stars

Wrrestler ( mean WWE Superstar) says: I can't wait to put my opponent in a local medical facility so I can get my championship opportunity in front of the WWE universe!
Modern wrestling also name drops MMA a lot now. Every time alaister black wrestles they will mention his MMA training, same with nakamura, some lesbo chick and anyone else. They use a lot of MMA transitions on the ground too, one of the commentators (Cory graves) trained a bit and will talk through some triangle attempts etc.Vince likes to create his own world

The reason I'm mentioning this is I find it funny they go to the strides to offer some semblance of legitimacy yet they still won't utter the word they are most synonymous with (wrestling) and instead call them superstars instead.
Although I was very impressed when Brock smacked Braun strowman in the head recently (out of anger during a match) and the announcers sort of acknowledged it and acted as though it was no big deal. (It was great)

Well ... WWE made over $800m in rev in 2017, they made under $35m in profit.
That is horrendous as a business (profit margin)
To spend $95+ to make $100 is not a great foundation.
But they still make money & Vince pays himself a lot in salary/dividends
