UK is pretty much a vassal state theses days. So exactly why wouldn't I have an interest in US politics?

You've got 2 different parties in the US, the Democratic Party a centre right wing majority with a small centre left contingent, and the Republican Party a far right wing majority with a small centre right contingent.

The views that got you banned from Twitter multiple times plant you firmly with the majority of the Republican party on the far right.
