your last guide needs to move here:
Its too high. It needs to go down a bit to where nicks face starts.
also when you hit CTRL+T and want to get out of it press ESC so the handles are gone and you start over.
the brown layer is fine. you can leave that be.I think I need to change to control point here to the inner guide but not sure how to..
We will create a new layer with a different orange that will hit that inner guide.
so you can press ESC to get out of the Free Transform tool.
if you want to delete a guide, grab that guide and move it away from the poster, and it will disappear.
yeah thats normal, it will snap to whatever is closer so if you push a layer hard inward it will then snap to the inner one like a magnet.OK. I made new guides but it still prompts me to grab a hold of the outer one
but at the moment we are just setting up a guide so the transform tool should not be used. You can hit ESC to deselect if its selected.

try switching to another tool like Paint Brush or Bucket or something. Should deactivate the handles.
ESC is supposed to work but i dunno why it didnt on your end. Perhaps your keyboard is haunted..

So that is the last of the guides you will happy to see. It took a couple hours but in reality now that you know how to do it, if you were to redo it, it will take you like 1 minute to do hehe. The first time you do it, it is a little odd.
So now we lock the guides.
VIEW -> LOCK GUIDES
this is done so the guides are not accidentally moved by the MOVE TOOL when you are moving images and stuff.

when the guides are locked you cannot move them or delete them until you UNLOCK GUIDES.
