My company is working with a local foster program to put together bags of various items for the kids. Toothbrush, toothpaste, pens, pencils, markers, notebooks, hairbrush, blanket, and a couple games... Our very own gangsterkathryn @gangsterkathryn helped me out with the school supplies and the first batch of brushes arrived today.

Also, the oddity of a guy that shaves his head having 50 hairbrushes makes me smile.

It’s really cool stuff! I think a lot of places often ensure younger children get school supplies during this time, but seem to forget that teens need supplies, as well, especially foster teens who are most likely living in a home because of their age. I’m glad to see you guys focused on them.

The campsite where we are staying is at the base of the Tower. They actually filmed movie on the grounds. They show Close Encounters every single night. It’s cool because the real tower is behind the screen. It’s a really good movie too, holds up.
