Ok @Splinty I've isolated my missing emoji @ and keyboard issues on iPhone chrome.
In order to get emoji & @ suggestions I have to enable the rich text option in account preferences. But when I do that my quote box is huge and hard to navigate. Unable to control cursor positions, have to dismiss keyboard then tap box again to reposition.
Without the rich text enabled the box is easy to navigate but no emojis nor @ suggestions.

We can ignore moderators but not admins. I want that ability in threads. I understand they should be able to override privacy restraints that we can enact on our profile settings so they can pm us but I don't want to be forced to unfollow an entire thread because I'm trying to avoid an admins opinion.
So a limited ignore feature in the thread so we can get alerts that we want would be great.

I think we need a TipAPoster option installed. I should be racking up tips for all these amazing posts I make on this forum.

Perhaps for sticky threads maybe put a flashing dot next to them on the left so it catches people's attention more.

It's a shame some people missed the Big John McCarthy Q+A because they did not see it as a pinned thread.

Thinking about changing the background of stickies to yellow. Would that get your attention?

I think that would help but people would probably get used to it very quickly and it might just fade into the background again.

I'm sure I remember seeing some research that showed flashing imagery was the best way to get people to continually notice something.

Any chance of a KIckboxing/Muay Thai subforum in addition to the Jiu Jitsu/Submission wrestling one?
Sure, I think its a good idea. One of our concerns is just that we are still a little too small so don't want to divide too much conversation ( we used to have a boxing forum but it pulled too many people out of cageside).

Glory has really invigorated kickboxing interst for a lot of MMA fans and there's a lot.of overlap in the striking core for MMA.

We might watch the traffic a little longer then add it.

Definitely put them in cageside for now as it'll help build more and more interest. The only thing stopping an immediate subforum is we need more trafffic, but i'll happen

The rainbow gifting brigade support all kinds of weirdo ideas. I'm unhappy if they don't give me a rainbow. That's when I know I'm drunk typing, making no sense image.jpg

It would be nice to be able to embed streams ex I get the embed codes for Bellator weigh ins and prelims but it's not allowable here. It'd be cool to have everything available in one place.

If it can be done by @Splinty let me know and I'll send you the codes if you don't have.

Can we post gifs of events?

Also maybe make a Q+A thread (or make it easier to find if I missed it). I had no idea where to post this question.

Great site overall.

I think you guys should consider making a rule against posting full articles from other sites in threads. Even when the poster provides a link, people are just going to read it on this site anyway.

Being from that world, I know those clicks and time spent on website are so important. These journalists often put a lot of work into those articles, so they deserve the clicks as it contributes to the revenue they generate. When someone posts a full article, it denies them the fruit of their labour. We should be supporting these investigative MMA journalists and simply linking to their intellectual property. People can click, read the article, and then comment on the thread.

I agree here. I'm not sure if aa formal rule will be implemented as it should be known but it could be an easy addition.

We actually mention that in the community standards.

* Copyrighted Material: Generally you can assume that anything you find online is copyrighted. If posting others’ written works, we prefer you post a synopsis in your own words and the link to the article. It's permissible to quote some text and we prefer you provide commentary as well. We will comply with all legal copyright takedown notices.

Our hope has been that instead of a dictatorship of us only promoting our own articles and post, the site could be a place to feature high quality work by others. The idea is exactly as you state, help feature and support those writers.

Thanks for the feedback. We will see how we can work on this.

Ahh, cool! Yeah, I don't think anyone is being malicious in posting articles, they're probably just unaware how the ad revenue thing works. I did the same thing for years on forums myself.
