I definitely wouldn’t operate machinery on oxy. And yes, it made me extremely tired. I’d feel high or woozy for a bit after taking it, and then I’d just pass out and then wake up a few hours later. I had a hard time eating after my back surgery, but if I didn’t eat something before the oxy I’d get really nauseous.
I'm picking at my memory now. I had bronchitis but still wanted to work. They gave me some pills I couldn't drive or do shit on, I only took one when I was going to sleep. And that was sparingly as I figured it was an antibiotic and like drinking beer instead. When it was gone I gave the rest of the pills to a coworker who struggled with back pain.
It might not of been them, but I was definitely told no drinking, driving , operating machinery and they will make me sleep (they did make me sleep)

Sounds somewhat similar, but not sure how oxy would help with bronchitis. Although I think they do use codeine in cough syrup as a cough suppressant. But oxy is a lot more heavy duty. I had back problems for years and had taken vicodin whenever things got bad and I couldn’t walk. The oxy felt like I had taken a whole handful of vicodin, it was lot stronger.
Since we’re on the topic, you should watch the doc OxyContin Express. It’s about when it was less regulated and people abused the shit out of it (in Florida of course). Scary stuff really, not much different than shooting heroin they way people were snorting and smoking it.
