Great timing indeed. Am I crazy for considering that this guy has ulterior motives or another country like Iran or Russia has dirt on him?Great timing for the rest of us

Trust me I know, I just personally think a 77% pay increase demand appears excessive. And how is that working out?
Meanwhile this fucking guy is pocketing 10 mil from a foreign government.
No doubt. But had they not gone for some outrageous number the counter would not have been 50%, it would have been much lower, probably something like 15%. Its classic negotiations, albeit at an insane opener of 77%. The real number is probably closer to 30-40%, they are being countered at 50%, but because they went to 77% to kick it off, they end up with something in the upper 50's.Trust me I know, I just personally think a 77% pay increase demand appears excessive.
Rumor has been that is he connected to the mafia. He has also been raising this flag since last spring at least. This has been on the horizon for months now and no one has been paying attention.Great timing indeed. Not be so dependent on such a convoluted system? What's the alternative to them though? I think it's greedy C-suite finance bros offshoring and backfilling with illegals. Which is definitely worse.
I assume they're flexing power for their own interests while the rest of us suffer. But that's because I'm on conspiracy overload. @sparkuri would know.Great timing indeed. Am I crazy for considering that this guy has ulterior motives or another country like Iran or Russia has dirt on him?
Tin foil is SO underratedI assume they're flexing power for their own interests while the rest of us suffer. But that's because I'm on conspiracy overload. @sparkuri would know.
Or "immigrants"One of their reasons for striking is to protect against automation advancement.
Do you know what robots don't do?
Go on strike.
I meant to say you would know the answer to his question. I figure you're immune to the overload.Tin foil is SO underrated
$200k to work a dock?Have you guys seen what the union is asking for? A stop to automation of their jobs and a 77% raise over 6 years. They were offered 50% and refused it. That seems a little excessive to me.
“This is not something that you start and you stop,” he said. “We’re not weak,” he added, pointing to the union’s importance to the nation’s economy
At Port Houston, at least 50 workers started picketing around midnight local time carrying signs saying “No Work Without a Fair Contract.”
The U.S. Maritime Alliance, which represents the ports, said Monday evening that both sides had moved off of their previous wage offers. But no deal was reached.
The union’s opening offer in the talks was for a 77% pay raise over the six-year life of the contract, with President Harold Daggett saying it’s necessary to make up for inflation and years of small raises. ILA members make a base salary of about $81,000 per year, but some can pull in over $200,000 annually with large amounts of overtime.
Dockworkers at ports from Maine to Texas go on strike, a standoff risking new shortages
The strike affecting 36 ports is the first by the union since 1977. The strike will likely have an almost immediate impact on supplies of perishable imports like bananas, for example.apnews.com
You're right, I'm....nearly immune.I meant to say you would know the answer to his question. I figure you're immune to the overload.
Assange's statement today took me off guard. I thought he must have signed some kind of good boy agreement to get out. Doesn't seem to be the case though.all our spying devices have changed everything
They want base to go from 39 to 69 an hour, this last 6 year contract that ended was an 11 % increase.$200k to work a dock?
And they want 77% more?
So...$354k to work a dock?
GTFO
I'll take "Ways to assure I'm replaced by robots" for $700, Alex.
That's actually Ken now - but you idiots don't know that.
I didn't see his statement, link?Assange's statement today took me off guard. I thought he must have signed some kind of good boy agreement to get out. Doesn't seem to be the case though.

Speaking of "smart glasses",
This is long, but mandatory.
When I say it will blow you away, it's not an understatement.

I've posted a few 'essential' videos.
This is one more.
Download if you can.
I get paid near that to sit in a chair and tell people how to build software that almost no one uses and those that do, it does nothing for the greater good of society.$69/hr to work a dock?
LMAO
That's $143,520 straight time.
I'd tell them to get fucked, too.
Or sign it, then work behind the scenes to replace as many workers as possible with robots by the time the next contract rolls around.
