Watched the 4 part series on the Heaven’s Gate cult. Interesting group of people. 8.92/10.
I had no idea that these folks had been prancing and the country for over 20 years. Very well done docuseries.

I was watching with English dub. Buy then part way through ep 2, it seemed as if the dub matched an antagonists lips, so I changed to original German audio and what do you know?? That part was actually English!
Which means the "bad guys" in this speak English hahah. That's so funny. Normally, the bad guys are always speaking German or Russian hahaha
But on a more serious note, I'm now watching with original audio and English subtitles since half the show is English anyway. My main takeaway though is that it's wild to step into a Germans shoes ... y'all are fluent in 2+ languages
Meanwhile I've only got 70% of English down pat (and it's my native language. And my mother is an English teacher)... And don't get me started on Texans and Floridians. It is a stretch to refer to whatever they mumble as "English"

Yeh I quickly skimmed an article to actually find out the genre (and once j saw them mention dystopian I realized that wss the word I was looking for)
But the bio or article actually quoted the show runner or someone saying that it's not actually. It's more of a westerny type adventure during a dystopian period
Or.some shit like that. I'm more into only medieval technologies. So I avoid shit with planes, cars, devices, guns yadda yadda. But I got through 3 of 6 and am looking forward to the rest. Especially because they say nudity but I haven't seen any women's nipples yet lol
I'm not a good adviser. I don't watch much TV and I'm significantly more easily amused than most
But for whatever it's worth, I'd actually say yeh. I cabt stand dystopian shit, and their makeup and flamboyance yadda yadda. But if you can get past an awkward scene within the first half of episode 1, the characters start becoming real. And you may start caring about their arcs

Same dudes that did East Bound and Down. Walton Goggins is fucking hilarious. I think I mentioned this one before hit it’s still good. Only 2 seasons too, so it doesn’t get drawn out and up it’s own ass.

Russell and Ma-Chi had me dead.
He was incredible as Uncle Baby Billy in the Righteous Gemstones. I hope they do season 2 soon. Him and Judy are the best.I love Danny McBride but no one was as great as Russell.
Yes! I’m glad someone else agrees with me about anything on Righteous Gemstones. I watched it solely because I was excited for another Danny/Walton show.
I hope they do season two of that and of Walton’s show Unicorn.
Goggins is comedy gold. Looks like they might have started shooting season 2 recently. I’m gonna have to watch season one again. I almost died when they ran that dude over in the first episode. I think I rewound it 5-6 times. I’ve never seen The Unicorn, it looks like a romantic comedy and I draw the line at Any Which Way but Loose.
