Dune from SyFy yes IMO, David Lynch's is a "pick 'em"

If you want to watch a newer space movie, there's Gravity and Interstellar. The critics say Gravity is better, but I walked out of the movie theater after about a hour of viewing it. Terrible.
Sandra's voice is tough to deal with.
Sci Fi is a very broad term. It's tough to define. I would call the movies Children of Men, Her, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind sci fi movies and some of the absolute best overall movies made in the past 10 years. Some would argue they are not sci fi movies at all.
Got it. I've lots of good things about Eternal mind so its on my to do list.
I thought Looper was awesome. Very cool idea and well put together.

Agreed. It's my favorite recent sci fi film. And good news! The writer/director Rian Johnson is writing the second installment in the new Star Wars trilogy.
