Family and Medical Leave Act. It's designed to keep you from getting fired if you take a lot of time off for something medical for you or a family member. Pretty easy to apply for. Employers are deathly afraid of violating it, so mostly alcoholics claim they have a family member with a medical issue so they don't get fired for calling in drunk every Monday morning.

At least that's how I've seen it abused on my jobs in Florida. My wife used it when she had eye surgery because the te were so many follow up appointments and she didn't have enough leave to cover it.

heard that. she's blaming every person imaginable...has yet to admit that it could possibly be her fault for calling out so many times.
i had to put the phone away from my ear while the rant continued for 6 minutes.
i'm sure it's not helping that i'm sending her e-applications via text while she's telling her sad story.

Hell no its not. You have to let her figure it out. Believe me, I was the child who always learned the hard way.

I'm glad that you're making her work while going to school. I worked full time and went to school full time. I only stopped school because I couldn't do everything post baby.
But she does need to learn and get her stuff together, waitress or not.

I don't understand what is going on in this thread.
My dreams were very strange last night.
I had multiple dreams that made no sense at all.
I think the cold weather is giving me weird dreams.
