General Rogan University

That was actually one of the more enjoyable episodes I've listened too. He had some fucking funny ass stories.

I may have to check that episode out. I got burned out on JRE, had to take a break. It has been a while since I've listened to a whole episode. I catch snippets in YouTube now and again, but I'm way more out of touch with JRE than I used to be.

I listen to 1 of 10 or even less.

I like the ones where it is 5% or less Rogan talking and he is mentally or physically alpha'd by his guest

Otherwise he is pretty much unbearable and full of hypocritical statements.

He does bring on the occasional amazing mind blowing guest, and that is what keeps me checking the guest list for possible Gems.

This.
I think exactly like you.

You could do worse. He's a pretty smart dude. I listen to pretty much every episode but I also listen to podcasts for 8 hours a day.

Have any recommendations for history themed podcasts? I've listened to the Dan Carlin stuff, which was awesome, but I'd like to find something new like that to explore.

I've been doing some audio books lately, but I find podcasts to generally be more entertaining.

I liked it when he had Dorian Yates on. Wish he woulda spent less time fawning over him and asked him about insider stuff about the freaky world of bodybuilding. But yeah, he does have some pretty interesting guests now and then.

If you can deal with a dude with an Italian accent the "History on Fire" series is pretty good. Yes, it feels like a poor man's Hardcore History, but he deals with entirely different subjects/events. The episodes are more in the couple of hour range, and most series are only a couple parts so it's much easier to consume than Hardcore History. I'd highly recommend the series' on Jack Johnson and Teddy Roosevelt.

I think I listen to some of those

Is that Danelli bolleli?

Ya I like that one...it makes my mind work double to understand his accent and the content...kinda fun that way and he is a cool dude

As a big Hardcore History fan it definitely comes off as poor man's HH, but I still thoroughly enjoy it. It's a shame more people aren't familiar with the story of Jack Johnson.

Not exactly a straight History podcast but....

Astonishing Legends is a good podcast and it covers Historical stuff both fringe and mainstream...they quote all sources and cover some really interesting legends and some fringe stuff also.

Can pick and choose the subjects that interest you to give it a try.

I enjoy it now and then and some episodes are really good...worth a try, they have a lot of episodes

Have you listened to the Teddy Roosevelt ones? He was one bad motherfucker.
