WTI $113
Brent $114
? ?

Biden announced US and its allies will release 60 million barrells from reserves. That's like putting a bandaid on a compound fracture. The United States alone uses 21 barrels a day.

We'll be begging the Saudis to up their production, but I think this thing is going to run. I think we'll see $150 before too long. Maybe $200 if we completely stop buying from Russia. This could get really, really bad.

Time to start loading up those plastic grocery bags with fuel before sticker shock hits the pumps.
You're going to love this:

That article is absolute bollocks. And very old It's written by Seamus Milne. The handler of Jeremy Corbyn. Pretty much all of this a tissue of lies to make out Putin and Russia are right and the West is wrong. Particularly Reading it in hindsight. You can really see his agenda.

The Crimean referendum was a farce. Set up in 2 weeks with no oversight. The far right parties he talks of were voted to oblivion when selenski came in and even before that.

I could go on but I don't want to waste any more time on the little cunt who can't get paid for writing in the. Church gazette anymore.

Fucking far left cunts

What the fuck do you know about barrels?
not a whole lot I suppose.
Only worked in the uk natural gas, oil and electricity markets advising clients on pricing and potential problems

also, Russia is fucking their economy up as 50 % of their gdp comes from, take a wild guess.

They probably hoped the spike created would be a windfall for their production but didn’t anticipate that no one is now going to buy their precious products.

This is the second lamest analysis I've seen only behind "iron man fighting Russian Hitler".
It's true that a perfect western democracy that's next door represents a propaganda hit. But Ukraine isn't that and won't be for a while. And she's painting the entire issue as if that's the primary cause and it's Putins personal grievances driving most of it. The West wanting Ukraine in their hemisphere and Russia wanting Ukraine in their hemisphere are almost just symptoms and not the causes. The reasons for those hemispheres is both geopolitical and economic on both sides. Putin as a personality represents someone definitely shaped by a combination of cold war experience, dictatorial ambitions, and personal enrichment through solidifying power. These are all part of the reasons he's getting schooled geopolitically and economically ironically. But it's getting schooled economically and geopolitically at once that has him making desperate moves in Ukraine.
If Ukraine became a neutral democracy and Russia still had vassals in it's other old lands and wielded a non war power over Europe via Russia oil/gas threats that might be enough. No threat to Putin's personal enriching off Russian resources, a stronger geopolitical sword than anything short of nukes they have to offer, and the dream is still alive that they could subvert that democracy successfully enough to avoid using what's been apparently a shitty invading military.
Russia had a shit strategy and made itself an unreliable resource partner for mant. No one in Germany loved buying Russian gas while also watching Putin invade Georgia et al. or having Putin threaten to freeze them to death every other year. But that threat probably kept Russia with a non-war card and there weren't great alternatives. So Germany looks out for itself and would rather fight a money battle with Russia than a war. Take the military positioning, take the vassals, take the economic sword (that also enriches Putin and friends personally) all at once and you've got few options if you're Russia/Putin. And even this is just scratching the surface of the obvious military and economic pieces.

Yeah it was an interesting read, and gave insight into who this guy is and his goals, but some parts stretched the imagination a little.

"Foundations of Geopolitics sets out very specific aims for establishing the 'Greater Russia'. For example, advocates cutting off the UK, politically, from the rest of Europe. This has been achieved."

Lol. The Russians don't control everything like some sort of Bond villain. Perhaps Nigel Farage is a Russian spy?

I remember I had a disagreement with you once, after I described the Guardian as a worthless rag, and just as shitty a source as the Daily Mail (although supporting the opposite end of the political spectrum here in the UK). I'm glad to see that you acknowledge my correctness at least somewhat ;)
