Ukrainian military vehicles are entering Kyiv to defend it against approaching Russian troops, Ukraine's interior ministry says.

As Russian forces advance on the Ukrainian capital, the authorities are calling on the population to do everything they can to resist the invading troops.
Both the Ministry of Defence and the Interior Ministry are appealing to Kyiv residents to "inform us of troop movements, to make Molotov cocktails and neutralise the enemy".
A leaflet with step-by step instructions of how to make petrol bombs has been posted on the Ministry of the Interior's social media.
Interior Ministry adviser Vadym Denysenko says 18,000 machine guns "have been handed out in Kyiv to all volunteers, all those who want to defend our capital with weapons in their arms".
"Ukrainian military equipment is entering Kyiv now to defend it. I am asking all residents of Kyiv - please do not film it, do not film its movements. This is necessary to protect our city."

This is absolutely ridiculous that the west is letting this happen in this day and age. Ukraine was GOING to be a NATO member, and if these old fat men think they're NOT going to be next once Ukraine falls, they've learned nothing from history. The next country they're going after once they secure their western flank is Romania and probably the Baltic states. Those are NATO countries, and Poland in particular has been wanting to fuck Russia up for years.
This won't end with Ukraine, and I'd be surprised if we don't see Russian ground troops deserting en masse when the allied forces descend upon their trifling asses.

Now, I do respect that dude, he ain't a dummy, but believe that everything he said he said for an effect.
Of course we have/had better relations including economic relations to Russia than Poland did. That is neither a surprise nor a shock. Everything else he said here is nothing but conjecture.
Interestingly he also once said that the Polish relationship to the US is "worthless".
