General Russia vs. Ukraine

The west has to know how close this is to the Russians steam rolling to the dneiper. More and more the Ukrainian lines are just breaking down.

If I'm Russia, I hold out for everything east of the river and negotiate on odesa.

Putin has to be careful here. He can't give up too much. The typical western view that he's a hard riding supreme dictator is ridiculous. Hardliners are going to publicly hold his feet to the fire on the lines he drew early on. The Russian population is extremely tolerant and then all the sudden extremely not. I'm sure they want it over like everyone else but they should expect a clear victory for thier sacrifice.

Edit: I'm responding to your post , but making a general statement, not trying to tell you how Russians are.

I think Trump and Putin will try to hammer out an agreement, and then, if successful, Z will join them for a photo op.

The Euros won't be there 🙂
 
The yappy little dog needs to remain sidelined. And the return of those British officers they caught in Odessa should be out of the question.

A British mercenary was killed in the SMO area

Alan Robert Williams (born 17.12.1989, Wirral, UK) is a former civilian with no military experience. He went to Ukraine on 07.05.2025 and joined the Charter Brigade.

He signed a contract on 10.06.2025 and was killed on 13.07.2025 near Liptsy (Kharkiv Oblast) in the first battle. His body was abandoned on the battlefield. He was destroyed by FPV drones of the Sever group.

It sounds like Putin agreed to meet with Trump, but no Zelensky.

The Americans are trying to move the goalposts now, and the Erros are bitching.
 
The Pentagon recently amended its policy to allow the agency to return weapons intended for Ukraine back to U.S. stockpiles, CNN reports.

In addition, it is claimed that Patriot missiles and a number of other weapons intended for Kyiv have been classified as "red category," meaning they are in short supply in the United States.
