I agree, it is messed up
but without a cool off I lose hope

That is the best part of the PNW IMO...the cool off even in warm weather

Lightning was high up, thunder too. Tons of rain.

What was odd is that this area is usually very gusty. There was a strange lack of wind even when the whole thing was passing overhead.
