When you play on a horrible team, no, it won't. It certainly won't get you shut out of the league. He was sent down because sucks. The fallout from this has been hilarious to watch.
Beltran should be banned from baseball. Others should at least be suspended. It is being reported that Brian McCann (former Yankee) told Beltran (former Met) to stop, but Beltran and Cora "steamrolled" him, and a number of the younger players were too timid to standup to the vet and their coach. It has also been reported that Luhnow knew about the sign stealing algorithm before the 2017 season and encouraged it. These three should be banned for life.
Hinch knew what was going on and did nothing to stop it. I'm sure he didn't want to. I also think he knows more about the 2019 buzzer rumors. He should be banned as well.

The usually silent Mike Trout has expressed his displeasure with the lack of consequences for the Astros cheating.

They should be lined up against a wall naked and all pitchers that were victims of the scam get to launch fastballs at their dicks.
So...no punishment at all to players? Ever. For blatantly cheating.
Granting them immunity was a mistake. The more excuses I hear about this Altuve thing the more I think he was wearing a wire.

changed my vote to "lifetime ban" now that we know the full extent of the scandal and the level of player involvement. Some guys should just get long suspensions (half to full season), but the guys that drove it should be banned forever. They tampered with the outcome of games and affected careers.
I'm in the 30 game range for all involved.

I honestly think the amount of blame the players are receiving in this is completely over blown, and that management/ownership is being completely let off the hook. The punishment should be very simple, very straight forward. Championship vacated, Houston Astros suspended for the season.
For pitching staffs - the Angels hit the 2nd most batters in the AL last season with 82.

I don't really know much about the whole kerfuffle, I've just inadvertently ended up a sort of a Sox fan so me ears perked up when he was mentioned. Was he wrong or right?
I just started following MLB closely last season, and was a casual (at best) before that. Can you or someone give me cliffnotes on Ortiz' Ped stuff they briefly mentioned?
If you consider someone pointing out cheating a snitch, then he's right. He's also a cheater calling someone a snitch for pointing out cheating, which makes him a member of the Boston Red Sux.
