I know you were rooting for Floyd but do you honestly agree with those cards? Especially the 8 to 1? Can you make a compelling argument that Conor truly won only one round in this fight?

I'm genuinely curious.

Round 1, Conor landed 9 out of 34 shots to Floyd's 2 out of 6.

Round 2, Conor landed 8/42 shots out of Floyd's 5/10

Round 3, Conor landed 9/39 to Floyd's 5/12

Obviously Floyd won and the fight went literally exactly as I expected. But how can you post those scorecards as if they mean shit? Like, anyone who somehow thinks Floyd won the first 3 rounds is a crazy person. I feel bad for whoever has those judges assigned to them in the future because those types of scores are so beyond explanation that they end up costing guys title fights in bouts that count.

It's not like Conor was out there destroying Floyd or something early. But you shouldn't win a round for landing 2 of 6 punches, or 5 out of 10, when a guy is throwing/landing more than twice as much. It's not like Floyd landed 5 bombs. Conor simply out landed him in those rounds and won the rounds.

So what does the scorecards prove exactly when they're easily proven to be ludicrous?
Sorry but no excuse is gonna bring back the W....

I hope I don't read any more about Diaz chasing Conor or how Conors living rent free and all that BS. Both of these interviews have Conor referencing Nate multiple times and for good reason, he was Conor's biggest challenge until this fight. I'd love to see a trilogy fight now more than ever.
We have to see the trilogy fight and it should be at 155 lbs. Nate won the first fight and Conor narrowly (but convincingly) won the second fight.

But let's be honest here.

Nate needs Conor. Conor does not need Nate. Conor can fight Kevin Lee, Tony Ferguson, or Khabib Nurmagomedov and sell 1.5 million PPVs.

Nate can't sell half a million against an opponent not named Conor McGregor.

So yes, Nate is chasing Conor and the money fight. Is Conor in Nate's head though? Of course not. Money is in Nate's head.

Agree here mostly. I guess it all depends on how you define need (not to get into semantics) I think it's clear the only fight Mate wants is Conor so in that sense for sure. But if Nates other option is to just do his own thing because fighting for peanuts isn't worth the training camp and fight damage then no, he doesn't need anybody.

And now I need to add the cheesy "it takes two..." to make a great fight. All the names you list are intriguing as far as ranked fights and division legitimacy but I feel like Conor could give a fuck about all that at this stage. I wouldn't be mad if he just stayed in shape and learned how to be a dad for a bit.

Nate doesn't need anyone lol. Would a Conor fight be big money? Sure it would! But to say he needs anyone is a little silly. Honestly I don't see Conor selling as many PPVs against anyone else so you can say they both need each other to make the most money. Same situation with Floyd. He didn't need Conor but no one else was going to bring that kind of change to the table. Nate is simply not interested in fights that don't bring the big bucks and he knows that the Conor fight will. Conor knows he won't make as much without Nate so it's a win win for both guys.

It's all business and everything else is a soap opera. ;)

If they fight at 155 it has to be for the title... i mean if you fight and beat a guy who holds a title in the same weight class that would make you champion. But Conor and Dana will not do that because the risk of losing the title

i have a feeling thats what he is gonna do, he takes loses hard and especially this one im sure will eat at him. I dont mind him fighting nate at 155 for the title, but if he continues to fight but not defend the title there is something strange there
