I am not sure about which one is "worse" and you have to let me clarify that. They're BOTH dangerous to society but in very different ways. The pedo is messed up, broken in a way, maybe even sociopaths (I don't want to get into their "train of thought" so I can only assume). The guy that goes about killing others based on his spectrum of what's acceptable to him is actually a pretty fuckin dangerous guy for society to have running loose too. It's easier for me to relate to wanting to off someone for pissing me off but I don't know what goes on in the heads of repeat killers.
Depending on the vilgilante's code I'd be completely alright with him murdering bad folks. If he's killing rapists, murderers, people who hurt kids, pedos, I don't think I'd lose any sleep. People who maliciously hurt innocent people have no place in society. Our justice system is broken anyway.

The key word is "depending." With all due respect, if we live in a society where the best we can do is post-conviction murders then a lot more than the justice system is broken. And this is coming from someone who is not opposed to Capital Punishment.

I'm not saying all these people deserve to die. People kill people for tons of reasons, but I'm speaking directly to maliciously attacking innocents. Anyone who hurts kids can get a bullet and I wouldn't bat an eye.

As a society we already let people with authority kill or incarcerate those who break rules according to the governments code. A vigilante with a moral compass doesn't seem like that big of a difference to me.

Fair points.

What's right and what's legal are not always mutually exclusive
Well, I still think it should be illegal to mete out your own justice. I guess my point is that I would break the law that I agree with under my own personal circumstances. And I accept I could face prison.
