Alright, so I finally decided to dedicate time to a TV series.

Part of me is glad I waited so long to watch this show.. and part of me wants to slap myself for waiting so long, haha. But seriously, I am go glad the world of Tony Soprano is entirely new to me... I am a few episodes into season 3 at this point, and cannot believe how damn good the show is.

I know Wild @I Wild Each It is a massive fan as well, and a big part of why I decided to check it out.. I'm a huge fan of mob movies and I felt near blasphemous revealing to him I had not seen it yet haha. He convinced me and here I am, loving it.

Who else is a big fan?

What mob movies would you recommend for fans of the show?

Also, although I know I am setting myself up for it here.. please don't post any spoilers, lol. I do know what happens at the end of the show sadly, since it was a huge deal when it went down and I read about it online, but I really don't know anything other than that when it comes to where I'm at in the series.

You sent me a text earlier about what happens to Pussy.. I wanted to message you back but it's late so I figured I'd tag you on here, and let me say, that scene was the most intense shit ever. Can you blame the man for pounding the booze in the moments right before? Fuck man. What an epic show.

Enjoy it my friend. It is honest to god my favorite show all time barr none. It's the only show I bought dvd's from. Every couple years I rewatch the whole series. Best show all time to me.

It was amazing following that show in HBO. It was on Sunday nights and Monday at work we'd discuss/predict/ect. Anticipation was exciting.

I've watched them all sevral times and they don't seem to get old. If you are on season 3 I guess I won't say much. Season1 the college visit/rat episode was excellent. Also Pine Barons(s3?) was really good. The interior decorator(bad cell phone signal) part was so funny. There is so much subtle humor to appreciate.

I got all those sets as well. Listened to all the commentaries too. Good into on those alt~audio episodes.

You may or may not know but the guy Sil plays guitar for Bruce Springsteen's band.

I still catch myself saying Sopranos quotes every once in a while. Tony has millions of memorable lines.

Got OJ today and think of this every single time without fail lol-

"I like it when it says 'some pulp' ".

In my opinion, and the opinion of others I'm sure, Tony Soprano is that greatest TV character of all time, and I'm not sure anyone else is even close.

Slower pace, but Boardwalk Empire was a really under rated show you might want to check out after.

I could never get into it. I love mob stuff, but the whole psychoanalysis bit disengaged me from the show. I've probably seen about 30 episodes and liked several of them, but just found the whole shrink angle annoying. Next year I'm planning to go back and watch it all the way through.

Sopranos was a pretty solid show but yeah sometimes the psychiatrist stuff did get kinda boring. If you fast forward that part the rest of the show is still very entertaining.

There is No score(music) to the show. DavidChase is a huge music fan and places songs for background audio. He usually puts stuff that he imagined young Tony and Carmella heard growing up. Do any of you guys remember Tony singing Dirty Work(steely dan)driving down the road ? It was pretty terrible.lol

Yeah man, enjoy it. No other series hits levels of suspense, humour, horror, grief, lust, despair like this one does. The most satisfying show I've ever seen.

Damn, now it's fall and chilly, I might settle in for rewatch.
