In the end though, Tank always ended up losing to the more well rounded skilled guy.
And here's really the short of it. Tank was a mauler, but more rounded guys beat his ass more times than not. I think Ken wouldn't have had any problems with Tank.

Ken was very inconsistent too though. If Tank could do what he did to Frye, I have no doubt he could do it to Ken too (back when it happened anyway). If they fought later on, like 98, Ken would beat him easy. Tank from the early tournies when Ken was not as skilled as he was later would have had a lot more trouble then you're implying.

Just depends on the circumstance - like Rousey says lol

Tank would have killed the Shamrock that fought Severn the second time. But none of it matters cuz it's fantasy

I would say Don Frye is just as equally accomplished if not more so in the sport and early days than Ken was. He won 2 tournaments, Ken won zero.

But Tank beat the shit out of him. I think you guys need to g watch that fight. If you really believe Tank would be unable to do that to Ken if they fought in 1996 I think I gotta respectfully disagree. Since we're talking about if they fought at UU 96, which is the night Tank was in that condition (probably his best performances ever),

and was able to beat Don up that bad (who had just came freshly off a worked 10 second fight)...

I don't think it's an easy fight for both guys. Ken was not exactly a good striker in 1996 and Tank was a very strong wrestler. Ken would have to weather the storm and get Tank tired to beat him. Don had way better boxing than Ken but he couldn't absorb the few power shots Tank hit him with without getting seriously hurt.

Don weathered the storm but many people would've been knocked out. I don't thnk it's a guarantee that if Ken got hit with those same shots, he would've just walked through them like nothing.

Obviously like I said.. if it was 1998 or later, Ken beats him due to evolving and training. But at the 2nd UU Tank was a killer.

Since we are talking fantasy fights

Ken vs Coleman

What do you guys think? I'm talking UFC 10 Coleman, so basically pure wrestling and instinct.. While he'd be facing a Ken who was already seasoned in NHB and although coming off the bad fight against Severn in the rematch. He did choke out Severn the first time when Severn was not as aware of submissions.

Would Ken catch UFC 10 Coleman ni something due to his naivety of the ground game? Or would Coleman be too strong and headbutt him to bolivian?

Also really wish Royce vs Kerr happened at PRIDE 2

And I like to speculate on how Kerr vs Coleman would go if they were not friends and had fought int he PRIDE 2000 GP. I actually think in the 2000GP, Coleman beats him. In the UFC, by the time Kerr had come around (Since Coleman was on his way out), MAYBE Kerr takes it. I just think Kerr was (in hindsight only) slightly over rated because of how monstrous he looked

You know, speaking of Kerr and Coleman's friendship, it's been at least 3-4 years since I've watched Smashing Machine. A good friend actually got it on DVD for my birthday, probably the best gift eva.

Has anyone in this thread not seen it? If so it's a must watch
