Totally agree. I live in Lance-land (Austin, TX) and people here are really divided on how they feel about him. I used to see him doing training rides around town with the team, and I’ve done mountain bike races at his ranch/property.

I look forward to seeing how the race plays out this year. You pulling for anyone to take it home? I’m undecided.
I just hope the GC contenders don't crash. I want to see bardet light it up. Porte get to the end. He has a chance.

Sprints I'm always pulling for cav.

Wanna see Sagan perform. He's the best bike rider in the world

Agree with ya that Sagan is a beast, and Porte should be fun to watch this year.

How do you feel about Quintana? I wonder if he can hold up through the duration. Curious to see how Yates does as well.

For those that aren't familiar with some of the contenders:

Another long day out on the bike today. Flat as a pancake so a touch on the dull side to watch until the pointy end.

Still a fair few crashes, with smaller teams these crashes are gonna have a biiiigggg difference if people abandon

Crashes define the stage once again. The yellow jersey taken out with 900m to go and with him a few of the top sprinters. Kittel punctures with 3k to go so cant compete.

Sagan looking very strong but we lost the realllllly quick boys close to the end

TTT day. A lot less boring than a straight TT but still a tough watch.

Just watch the 5 minute highlights and respect the efforts, today is when the serious watts get churned.

Already into day 4. Another flat and fast sprint stage. Hope cav can get up the front but it's looking like new sprinters are coming through.

Uphill sprint for bonus seconds though, Alaphillipe, Bling Matthews, Phillipe Gilbert, Van Avermatt maybe for the extra time

Van avermatt keeps yellow. Hero. Shame about his footy team. Hey ho

Gaviria in crazy form but greipel showing promise. Crashes define the finish yet again and Cavendish looks disinterested. Holding his baby for interviews. He's a weirdo, disappointed in him so far. Didn't even look half the man he used to be in terms of hunger. Maybe last year's crash still in his memory

Ohjh OK . Only 12 riding ddays left!!
Aye. LOTS of racing to be done. The first 8 stages were sprint only, boring ish till the final k, then stage 9 was a grenade on the cobbles. Now the GC race starts in earnest, it gets brutally hard now.

Richie porte crashing out was a bummer. Poor guy has no luck. Wasnt even on the cobbles when he crashed and fractured collar bone.

Yea it is lush. France has some amazing scenery in the mountains.

What I can never get over is the pace they go up these climbs. On the flat I can understand people crushing out 500 watts and getting 70km/h, but to race up hills of that length at that speed... just not the same human beings as me...
