A 7.62 isn't a "Large caliber round", .308 is the bare minimum of the generally accepted "high powered" category, and both rounds are the same. I realize I'm being knit picky, but it begs the question. If they're misreporting easy details like that, what else are they missing?
Video's "Not available in my country". My guess would just be they didn't want an irrelevant detail to be turned into a big deal.Hey

I had the same issue...Had to VPN it...But it seemed relevant to me considering the shit he had in his supposed car.
Looks like a 100 round mag. I know nothing of bump stocks so I can't help you with that.
On a related note, the NRA is supporting regulation of bump stocks.

I've shot a bunch of AR's, but I don't think I've ever shot one that was chambered for 7.62 - Is that what was used in this attack? I honestly haven't looked at his weapons all that much. Conversely, I don't think I've ever shot an AK-47 that wasn't chambered for 7.62

I hate to say it but it appears reports coming from this investigation are riddled with inaccuracies and errors. I know they’re doing the best they can to find something as fast as possible but at least get your talking points accurate for each press conference. Sheesh!

So far to me it sounds like they still have nothing as to a motive. They’re making assumptions in these press conferences then later say they’re not there to make guess and deal with only facts but every fact (read: assumptions) doesn’t quite add up.
Honestly, they’ve had to review most of the footage from the MB by now. They’ve had to have seen him go in and out of there. There’s probably more of his life on cameras in Vegas and Reno than not. I’m sure it’s not a super quick process but by now they should have reviewed some of the closer footage to the event. Hours/days prior to see what he was doing. But honestly I’m not surprised they’re not finding much so they have to make assumptions. I wish he left a note or something.

Thanks. It is tough because I have to find time to mourne and grieve while staying strong for those who need a rock when they’re mourning and grieving. It comes in waves but make no mistake, there have been gallons of tears being spilled over here from everyone.

Yes, the AR10 platform is built around using 7.62x51, which is the NATO designation for .308 Winchester. The 2 rounds are slightly different, you can fire 7.61x51 in a .308 rifle, but not the other way around, but for all intents and purposes it's a load of shit to speak of them as though they're vastly different.
