CNN taught me a knew catch phrase tonight. "Dog whistle statements"

Apparently it's some type of cryptic message within actual speech that you only can pickup if you're smarter than everyone else. Got it.

Yes, if there is no hate speech, than you can claim the "dog whistle statements" are present and just make up a deeper meaning that "proves" the speaker is a racist, homophobe, anti-Semite etc etc.

Yea, this is a huge buzzword on social media...

its when certain words come out of someones mouth but you hear their real message (something different that didn't come out of their mouth)...

it's a new form of intellectualism, only smart people 'get it'

Yes, I don't understand this mindset.

If I missed being indicted by the skin of my teeth, I wouldn't EVER voluntarily broach that subject. All that does is make the citizens who think she should have been charged angrier, it's like she doesn't comprehend how serious many take that subject.
