Pocahontas getting silenced on the Senate floor gives me immense pleasure. I hope she is the 2020 Democratic nominee. What a #NastyWoman.

Supreme Court nominee Gorsuch calls Trump's tweets 'disheartening'

"He said very specifically that they were demoralizing and disheartening and he characterized them very specifically that way," Blumenthal said of Gorsuch. "I said they were more than disheartening and I said to him that he has an obligation to make his views clear to the American people, so they understand how abhorrent or unacceptable President Trump's attacks on the judiciary are."
Ron Bonjean, who is leading communications for Gorsuch during the confirmation process, confirmed Gorsuch called Trump's tweet about the "so-called judge" "disheartening" and "demoralizing" in his conversation with Blumenthal.

Whats this I am hearing that part of the "wall' might a physical structure but instead use technology and surveillance? That isnt a fucking wall.

Unless the technology is laser beams this is bullshit.

Neither impenetrable or beautiful.

Donald Trump's 'great wall' will be invisible in some parts, Homeland Security chief suggests
Despite Mr Trump's repeated promises to build an actual wall, it might actually rely on surveillance technology and not actually be made using any physical structure, according to Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.

“Kelly said the wall will take a multi-layered approach,” Fox News reporter Catherine Herridge said. “There will be the physical wall and then parts of the wall that you can actually see through because it will rely on sensors and other technology.”

"part of the wall you can see thru"

im totally for having drone or other technology monitoring the border

but are they building a wall with holes in it? or is this a stretch of words meaning that there wont be a wall along the entire border?

It's the independent. They hate Trump and run any gossip they can.

It means as much as them printing nothing.

The wall was an over exaggeration. Trump should have just said they are beefing up boarder security.

yeh it seems like a reidiculous thing to say. i guess i stretched their words even further by saying holes

but they said something u can see through. not saying whether its a hole, glass, or fence. wacky blip lol. but i do think it would be hilarious, if we had a huuuuuge wall. and then some squares cut out. maybe some rectangles, or triangles. and it was videotaped. so people who ran through got electricuted (harmlessly..like tough mudder). or sprayed on by mollasses or something. and if it had sensors, so then patrol shows up with it on film

it would be a fun tv show. a way to monetize the wall

Not holes. Massive gaps of areas without a wall.

The quote is straight from Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly's mouth.

Which means dick all until a public plan is actually decided.
The home land security secretary doesn't make this plan and such speculation to the height or depth or width etc has been made by dozens of elected and non elected officials in the last year.

Public plan? Wasn't this an executive order?

So just for the record, you think Trump is going to build a solid, beautiful and impenetrable wall?

Spicer Makes Up New Islamist Attack

White House press secretary Sean Spicer has repeatedly pointed to Atlanta, along with San Bernardino and Boston, as one of three U.S. cities that have been attacked by Islamist terrorists to argue that the Trump administration needed to act quickly to prevent another attack in the future.
Seamus Hughes, the deputy director of George Washington University’s Center for Cyber and Homeland Security, said Atlanta should not be included.

“There has not been a successful jihadi terror attack in Atlanta,” Hughes said.

The White House did not respond to a request to clarify what Spicer was referring to when he named to Atlanta in a list of past Islamist attacks. In 1996, a pipe bomb exploded at Centennial Olympic Park during the Atlanta Olympic Games, but Eric Robert Rudolph, a Florida-born domestic terrorist, was convicted of that bombing.

First off it will be the MOST BEAUTIFUL wall even built.

You are now changing the conversation and the point. I've posted my opinion about the wall plenty before.

That article means nothing. That's the point. The homeland security secretary is not the one who makes this final decision. Again various officials in all kinds of capacities have made similar statements on both sides of the issue. None have been verified. The article only exists by the Independent to mock the term "great wall".

Until there's an actual plan with funding link to it it means nothing and only serves a papers continued goals of clickbait anti Trump headlines

I get the point you are making about a lack of a plan and Kelly not speaking directly for Trump.

I doubt a physical wall will every be built to the extent Trump promised and bragged about.

Do you agree with me?

Sure I'll recap from before.

I expect that we will get a variety of options that include automatic drones, motion fences, etc. But I also expect that we will get a double border fence in a lot of areas since that's prove. Successful. Once it all gets run through the process of actually setting up funding it will look like Congress touched it. So depends on how much political capital Trump spends on other items on how much compromise there will be with them.

One of the largest fallacies in this entire process has been the idea that there will be a solid wall from ocean ocean. Trump himself has never said that and on the contrary has always pointed to the fact that there won't need to be a wall where there are things like mountains. But that didn't stop the independent and others from interviewing Engineers who talk about how hard it would be to build a wall on top of mountains. This is my entire problem with all the supposition.

But by silencing her, she got all the attention she wanted, and more. Always a bad strategy. A short-term delight I am sure, but not she send out her smoke signals anyways.
