The president of the United States just told 4 members of Congress to “go back where you came from”. 3 of the 4 were born in the U.S. One isn’t even the child of immigrants or even a grandchild of immigrants, she’s just black.

Basically saying if you aren’t white, you are not a “real” American.

Fucking guy keeps stoking the racial fires to get his fascist base to vote for him and against their self interest, so he can keep giving billionaires tax cuts and gutting health care. Trump doesn’t give a fuck about immigration he just knows it’s a card to play in order to keep his money grab grift going.
Exactly. I don't play the political party game because both sides are playing the public like fools. It is amazing that people really believe that a billionaire from New York city gives a fuck about them. What has he done that has helped the general public?...Give huge tax breaks to the rich and corporations, deregulate corporations(they have shown time and time again that they would let people die and poison people for an extra profit), take health care away from people, divide the country, fuel racial tensions? The economy is doing well because the tax payers are now supporting it and the debt is growing. Do Republicans no longer care about the debt as long as they have something to brag about?

I don't agree with 95% of their policies. I don't relate to most of their base. Their issues are not mine.
So it is a policy issue and not a Political party issue? What if the Republican candidate did not represent your beliefs?

I can't see that happening but if it did I wouldn't vote. Dems are completely out of touch on the national level for me. There isn't an R bad enough that could sway me to the dems. I have voted for dems on a local level where we have some common ground. I deeply regret my vote for Sheriff Israel. I have many R deputy friends that talked me into it. Said he was a D in name only just to get elected.

The couple issues I have with R's are I am pro abortion and also an atheist. I am not extreme or militant on either one so it isn't a deal breaker for me. The left are a female emotional minority centered party. Looking for handouts, taxing and making successful people the enemy. That is so far out of my sphere that I can't compromise with any of those ideas.

Makes sense, just trying to figure out if people are married more to the idea of a particular political party or the actual policies.

It's about ideas. I have a lot of Libertarian in me also. I would vote for a Libertarian if I agreed with his or her platform. The R's happen to have policies I most agree with out of the 2 mainstreams. The dems have nothing for me at all. I would be voting against my own self interests. Trump was not my first choice but became my only choice if that makes sense. Life is about compromise. If you let perfect be the enemy of good you will never be happy in life. I see a lot of that in young progressives going after their own with one thought that doesn't line up with the Twitter mob. That isn't free thought or free will to me.

Love that Trump is finally going on the offensive with AOC, Omar, the whacko from Minnesota and the other socialist idiot. It’s beyond time he exposed those four.

He shouldn't have pulled the "go back to your country" shit. Especially when 3/4 he referenced were born here and all four are American citizens anyways.
It's ethically wrong and politically stupid as it's going to backfire.

Nothing backfires on Trump. You either love him or hate him. Those comments mean nothing to either of those groups. Haters still hate and the people that voted him in office and like the economy are still going to vote for him. Trump does say a lot of dumb things. Obama we were told was smart. I will take this dumb guys economy all day every day.

I think it will work out to his advantage because so many Americans are sick of their shit and thinking the exact same thing....don’t love our country, want to make it radical socialist...well leave then. They’ll try to use it against him, but I don’t think it will work.

I fall in both of those groups.
If the dems don't get too far left, I'd vote blue the next go around. I'd hold my nose while doing it, but do it none the less.

And the fact they need to hate someone because the Little Mermaid will be a black girl.
Fixed for ya.

If a democratic PAC had any balls they would be running a commercial nonstop through the next election cycles and use some serious hyperbole and that tweet.

All it needs to say is that if you don't agree with Trump and have dark skin then he wants you "to go home" and that you should remember that when it's time that vote and remember that no Republicans rebuked it because they agree.

"Republicans want you to go home" should be in people's dreams when they're sleeping.

But that requires fire and a spine so it won't happen.

Ah, the ole call em a racist/nazi go-to. You're better than that brother.
Right, 'cos Trump isn't racist and doesn't display racist tendencies ever with his 'go back to you country' schtick, and none of his followers are racist.

I have someone well off in my extended family. A 1% that thinks they are middle class. They believe the wealthy aren't paying their fair share. They are also afraid of the less fortunate revolting. I pointed out that it's always easy to point the finger at someone wealthier and ask them to pay more. It never ceases to amaze me how this person doesn't get that 99% of others would consider them wealthy but they think they are just average middle class.

He's not a racist, he's a realist. He's called out Pelosi, Schumer, and tons of other white politicians. He went after Paul Ryan just 3 days ago. He calls out these four idiots, and suddenly he's a racist. It has nothing to do with skin color, but that's always the lefts go-to.

Being called a racist by the left doesn't have any meaning.
