Your headlines get increasingly comically over the top. I looked this up expecting to see something really bad. Honestly.
Israel as a state institution has allowed and supported the immigration over 100,000 Ethiopians.
A couple hundred women were given the depo shot (calling this sterilization is ridiculous and perfectly obfuscates the reality). some receive the shot in Israel and some received it and immigration clinics along the way not the Israelis.
Some of those hundreds stated that they were pressured or coerced into taking the shot.
Is consent an important patient standard? Yes. are there big risk for lack of consent when you have immigrant population with different language and healthcare understanding? Yes. This is all bad enough! But then the needless headline which just washes it all away when it's found out.
Was there any coordinated systemic or state sponsored sterilization program? Absolutely not.
