Trumpists, what you don't seem to understand is that, yes, the country you inhabit is the most powerful country the world has ever seen. But part of the reason for that is that it has cultivated the working class to be compliant little corporate cocksuckers that accept working conditions that no other industrial countries' exploited poor would accept - at least until many have tried to follow your lead. You live in a shit country for the average Joe, even though you live in the best country for exceptional people.

China, by some measures, has already surpassed your economy and Russia -the backwards, terribly poor shithole that it is - can still blow up your entire country with a couple of phone calls and the push of a button. So you are simultaneously the greatest and weakest empire that has ever existed.

Do people in Denmark really give a fuck that their country is a world powerhouse? No. Why would anyone sensible care about their countries 'status' on the world stage beyond what directly impacts them?

Which brings us to the relevancy of my post. The US has cultivated compliant trading partners to ensure hegemony and the standards of living for its citizens. To do so, it has accepted that it will be 'taken advantage' of because that ensures the system it rules isn't challenged. That's not dumb, it's smart.
