Just got back from a trip out to Denver, Colorado. Went to a concert at Red Rocks and a Rockies game - and managed to do a little hiking.

Hauler Travel Tip:
If you go to Denver, DO NOT stay in the downtown area or its immediate downtown suburb area. Thought we were safe because we booked a nice house. Nope. Entire area is riddled with homelessness, the intersections/roads/drivers are horrible and crime is out of control. On our last night there I heard what I thought were fireworks so I stepped outside - nope. Full on shootout a couple blocks away. Heard at least 15 shots. Zero sirens or cops came to the area. Fucking insane. So if you do visit, stick to the smaller towns around Denver and Uber in/out to the downtown area if you have something to do in town.

What type of catfish?

and where the F is that beaver? Those mofos are hell on waterside trees. I would give him a trip to Belize maybe

Size and depth of pond? Anything living in it now?

Does it naturally hold water, or was a clay layer part of creating this pond?

This was certainly a created pond, decades ago.
It holds, probably due to natural clay.
Not spring fed, down the line I'd like to work on some permaculture.
It's one acre & 8' deep on its best day, 3/4 & 6' deep at the height of Summer with no rainfall.
I recently got power to it, but need to finish building this dock to install the aerator.

The beavers are amenace.
I'm going to steel their home for this years crop fertilizer then put a bullet in them.

I stocked it with Channel catfish, bluegill, minnows, largemouth bass, black crappie & 10 grass carp to clean things up.

Was able to get out on the lake for a couple of hours this morning.
