I wouldn't say well. I mean it did the job but it's a fairly crude device and not nearly as efficient and accurate as an alaskan sawmill.
not for precise boards of course

I was impressed personally...I have tried to cut a board from a log with no real guide and it was quite an improvement over that

alaskan mill is of course superior...I love the homemade one the guy made that I posted earlier in this thread on post 913...his redwood forest is awesome

You'd throw your back out after 3 swings. And on 2 of those you'd miss the log and bury the mull in the dirt.
I wanted to shit on your fire-building skills but you actually did a decent job. I mean of course I could've done better but your fire wasn't complete dog shit

The air is so sweet.

It’s kind of gay but whatever.
I love sweet air

Cottonwoods along the river release a sweet smell thru the air
Grab a cottonwood bud and roll it in your fingers
Smell that bud, so damn sweet

how is that for kinda gay

My wife never pays attention to outdoor shit but she noticed a blue jay the other day and was amazed at how beautiful of a bird it is. I told her that it was probably the same loud asshole that wakes her up in the morning but she still liked it.

When she sees a cardinal she's gonna be like

I have a real easy way to shut those birds up.

Same. For identification.

I usually guess periwinkle when I see purple flowers in the wild, but they usually have a pentagon shape in the center.

Tagging @conor mcgregor nut hugger for my amusement.

Hahaha

I was just going to google them like you did.
I actually used the iNaturalist app. It's also how I identified Grateful Dude @Grateful Dude's caterpillar. It's available for both iPhone and Android.

An app is software for a smart phone that you download from the App Store (if iPhone) or Google Play store (if Android).

Ask your grandson to help you.
