or, since your wife was on an airplane during a pandemic, you could just continue to quarantine out in the woods by yourself for a couple more weeks.

Sounds like a good plan to me, and put your safety first!
Very good point.
Plus she was in Florida - the Covid cess-pool of America.

it’s not going real awesome in TX either. Just remember to take a sip of bourbon right after every time you’re around her ;)

personally, I’m not ready to be on an airplane yet. Hope your wife gets back healthy, bud.

I guess they got tired of rescuing the hikers trying to find it. Kind of sucks, but I get it.

Hopefully they display it somewhere in the wilderness that still encourages people to get their asses off their couch.
Isn’t it on a main trail

Stupid larper hikers

Yep
It was gonna stack another body or two every now and then if they left it

Good tourist attraction in a safer location

Nice!

Yesterday I saw a Blue Jay and a Mockingbird almost square off. Would have been great. That was going to be a Pride rules match but the Jay flew away.
Saw the same showdown this morning. Mockingbirds seem to have made a nest in a nearby mahogany tree. A blue jay got too close and the mockingbird wasn't having it.

That jay hauled ass outta there faster than a hot chick in a midwestern city.

The purple rose I got for my wife has its first flower. When it came in the mail it was a bare root and some bare shoots maybe 8 inches long about a month ago.

If I can get the dogs out the way

I'll update with any fish. Usually it's a bigger snakehead, bass, mudfish, catfish or gar that hit these. You can recast them a dozen times and they will not die like a shiner. Theres no wild shiners here so they are shitty bait. I catch these with a pool net on a small boat. I see the mass of babies breathing air at once and it looks like rain in a small spot. I net them and use for bait, they really are the best since they breath air from the surface. They stay on top and dont need oxygenated water while in the bucket

Fresh for tonight. It's a canal that runs into brackish water/intercoastal. I've had Snook in here before but they die when it gets cold.

Theres a 3 or 4 foot tarpon now but I cant get him to hit anything also there are large mouth bass but snakeheads are much more prevalent and I've only seen one small peacock. If peacock bass is your thing go to coral springs and fish the lakes around the turtle run shopping center. Its loaded with peacock. Use rattle traps or small cichlids

Everything by me is depleted you have to remember i live in the hood. Old black dudes sit at this same canal by the pompano truck stop and fish with cane poles all day. They literally eat everything they catch including pleckys (armored catfish for weekenders)
I see 4 or 5 dudes with 5 gallon buckets full of trash fish everyday when I stop for my redbull

The flood gates off Old McNab between Lyons/31st Ave and Powerline(just past the Publix when you turn off old mcnab to go north) used to be full of largemouth, snook, and tarpon

That's the same canal that I'm on. I use to fish there alot I could pull bass all day but the tarpon where really flaky. You can pull off by atlantic and fish there or to hit the locks go through palm aire.

I love chinooks. I’ve had to use them on a few skyscrapers that were too tall for cranes

And by use them I mean book them and then watch cool helicopter tings
You did steel work? Only time I've worked around helicopters was loading cedar shake blocks.
Too busy working to appreciate the helicopter as the turn around time was minimal.
