We have shad here, they make awesome bait for just about everything in the main lake we go out on. I toss out the casting net a few times, and we have bait for all day. Sometimes it takes more throws.

No, those are carp, which aren't native either. And just like Covid, Chiiiiiii-nuh brought them here.
If we catch carp we kill them and use them as cut bait for catfish.

I haven't caught a carp in a couple years now that I think about it. So that's nice.
