I have been out of the MMA world for a long time. What happened to the underground? I see its under construction. Its been a long time...a quick update to catch up is all I need or is there a post I can read?

Kirik pulled a Hollywood Hogan heel turn and sold it to some Australian douchebags who paid him pennies on the dollar in exchange for exciting, sure-to-be valuable future options. Alta handed the forum over to someone who went on a ban spree starting with the mods and then everyone else. Kirik now sells handjobs and signed copies of the Fighter's Notebook behind various convenience stores.
 
Holy cow!!! Kirk sold it? Australia? Wow, I haven't followed MMA in a long time and last night I wanted to see what people were saying about the wolf and his wrestling ability and found kirk finally deleted the forum. I am shocked.

He was about to just shut it down anyway, he was over it. The offer came in after that decision was made.
We got about 6 months out of the new guys, they continually lied to us mods about the future of the site.
Then they started freezing mods, Crawler first because he had admin privileges, then each active mod.
Then most users.
No explanation or warning. One of their guys was lurking here right after to see what all the refugees were saying about them. It was all very strange.
They are a bunch of SJWs and they are based in Australia, so they hated everything about the members, lol.

They froze, instead of delete/ban members so that on paper it looks like they still have a massive user base.
They don't seem to know what to do with the property.

Easily the best deal Kirik will ever make. The site was winding down anyhow. He was tired of it and the fact someone wanted to actually buy it was a gift from god. Had Alta done any sort of research before buying, they would have seen how bad of a deal was for them. Doesn't really matter what they paid, they over paid.

The Underground and OG were special because they didn't tone policed every post. Once that was done with so was the site. Obviously the owners didn't understand that. The thing they also didn't understand is that it was the members who made that site special not the other way around.

How do you know they paid pennies on the dollar? Not saying your wrong but this is the first time hearing that. Same with the stock options. Did Kirik let it be known was they paid for it?
 
The last time they updated the front page was UFC 309 it looks like. Under "Latest Photos" there are even pictures from 2023. They murdered the entire site.

He was offered under a million cash from a group of ogers about 10 years ago and he balked and said it wasn't enough. I ain't going to list the names of them but we all know who the high rollers were on the og. They just wanted to fix the site and keep it the way it was. Kirik was stuck on giving up the fighter database, said it was worth that alone.

He totally fucked that up.

It was, I believe he got 25,000 in cash and 250,000 worth of stock options not exercisable for a year, @MountainMedic can correct me if I'm wrong.
 
current stock, they changed from alta group to mma group for the ticker, Kirik had sold at the high for the stock price, it's down like 80 percent
