My first time when the FD needed to help me out. I got my hand stuck in my dad's truck, putting fingers where they don't belong. They had to use a torch to cut the side of it open to free my finger.
Coincidentally about 30 years later I was telling this story to my class mates in fire academy and the Chief seemed interested. I showed him the picture days later and he worked with the gentleman in the picture who was kind enough to keep me happy by lending me his hat during the process. Apparently I didn't like the idea of an open flame and sparks that close to me.
Here's another one, just a side by side of myself (top) and my son (bottom)
I'd take out another mortgage to get my flow back.....
