I thought they are Yankee crazy over there. Would have figured a packed house but then again I wonder how it feels for the crowd in a double header. That a long ass time to be sitting.
It's also raining, I'm sure that doesn't help. Great start for the Jays so far!

I noticed there are some weekday afternoon baseball games on the PVR guide. Why are they so early? Don't they want to wait until the evening so more people can get to the game like other sports?

I think Priziesthorse @Priziesthorse is a baseball enthusiast. Any reason to why this is?

Typically the last game in a series will be played early to accommodate teams traveling to another city for a new series to be played the following day. Gives them a chance to check into a hotel in the new city and get some sleep instead of sleeping on the plane.

Also, because afternoon ball games get pussy. Look at Wrigley Field in Chicago, they have afternoon games seemingly everyday. I can only assume no one there works and just goes to baseball games. That my friends is how you live.

I might have to concede that the Red Sox will not take it this year.

"Some questioned whether Mitchell being a director of the Boston Red Sox created a conflict of interest, especially because no prime Red Sox players were named in the report,[21] despite the fact that Red Sox stars David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez were later alleged to have used performance-enhancing substances during the 2003 season, as reported by the New York Times on July 30, 2009"

"Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is certain on this point: "I never knowingly took any steroids." And this, too: "I deserve to be in the Hall of Fame."

Sure you do, David. Sure you do.

Over 100 players tested positive during that 2003 season. Him doing steroids didn't give the Red Sox any greater advantage than other teams. 3 starters for the Blue Jays in 2003 are on the alleged list.

So you think think if ManRam and Ortiz weren't roiding up they'd still have won the World Series? You think Vitor would've kicked everyone's head into the 15th row in 2013 without TRT too? Come on now Horsey.

God this is so dumb but i'll bite. You have no proof of David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez failing a drug test in 2004, 2007, or 2013. They were 2 of the names that leaked of 104 ppl that failed in 2003. They were obviously doing it in 2003, why didn't they win the World Series that year? By your logic, the Red Sox won the world series bc they had 2 guys juicing. The Blue Jays have 3 players on the alleged list of failed tests on 2003, why didn't they win the world series that year? The Mariners had 2 guys get caught juicing in 2005, why did they finish in last place?

I'll be honest with you. I'm a firm believe in playing by the rules. Prior to 06 MLB really didn't have any, so I don't really give a fuck what guys did or didn't do in 03. The level of anger that comes out of BoSox fans when you point out ped usage by some of their players, or their payroll in 07 are opportunities I simply can't pass up. As long as people who worship Ortiz also think Barry Bonds should be in the Hall of Fame I've got no beef.

hehe yeah i often thought in the past it was some type of civic holiday in the states but then when i saw the same few teams on the pvr in afternoon games i thought hmm.. something is up. Somehow they can get a pretty good crowd in the afternoons. People must all call in sick and then hide from the cameras.

thats rough.

you need to email him a pic of your license plate to rub it in now.
Oh, he knows. I was literally sitting next to him when he said it. He just likes to try to needle me, and he's mad the Yankees are limping into the playoffs.
