My concern as well. For every EO he should already have someone lined up to introduce associated legislation to firm up the changes.

Otherwise the tit for tat will never end
They need to have one bill with all the EO so far and pass one huge EO bill to make sure it can't be reversed in 4 years!

People need to start leaning into this shit and rejecting the lifelong propaganda around tariffs.
It's the right move and it's not just a bargaining chip.
Steel is a commodity. It can be sold anywhere.
I just saw the news last night here in Australia and couldn't believe the absolute pussys I was listening to. Our priminister is more of a faggot than tredau , if that was even possible .
The tariff is either going to hurt America ( as everyone loves to claim ) or the whole world is going to drop their price on steel and can afford to eat the loss. Just so America wont ramp up production and manufacturing. Which tells you a lot. That shit won't affect our economy fuck all yet they make out its the end of the world. As if it's a tiny little family owned business that's operating on 2% profit margins. It's all hilarious to me.
These cunts were freaking out. Boo hoo , we're in a trade war ! What are we ever to do ? Boo hoo.
Un fucking believable.
Our country when to shit exactly when the nafta deal was made and they forced us into this globalisation unfree trade.
We should have done the opposite and implemented considerable inport and export tax and cut all the other taxes.

Correct, and he didn't say "No tariffs for Canada." He said his proposed tariffs were now delayed. I'm not sure what is confusing you about that.

Links to the announcements? Nothing beyond the announcement of the agreement/delay has been announced here.
You're right. There's nothing confusing about what you're saying. I see it the exact way you do.
I think he wants something to be angry at trump about , and that something seems to be welching on a deal he didn't make.

It's funny. I heard some liberal media outlets were bragging not long ago that Canada got trump to drop the tariffs without doing anything.
Now they're going to cry when the tariff comes into effect.
I'm seeing thus a lot lately, where people( in the media ) want it both ways. It's a sign of gaslighting at the highest level.

I think you have way to much faith in the swamp republicans unfortunately. I dobut many of his EO's would've passed through congress unfortunately .
It would've been good to get them on record voting it down though.

I clicked on a week old article this morning thinking it was new and since it was last week said both Canada and Mexico outsmarted Trump with different approaches and made him back down. There is never any crow eating, retractions or self-reflection. The news media thinks that their credibility is an etcha-sketch that starts fresh every morning, they are the only ones that don't see their permanent demise coming.

Exactly.
I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing it.
It seems that way sometimes.
I know everyone understands the media is propaganda these day's but I sometimes wonder if people are seeing the same things I am.

Yeah, I get what you're saying and your mindset on what is happening. However based on BoK's posts here over the years, I know he isn't far left. I can't recall his mindset toward Trump, but I also don't know how this has been reported on in Canada. Maybe the news BoK is hearing is telling the Canadian people things that are not true. I know the mass media outlets here in the US are bought and paid for and are instructed to report the news in favor of the owner's agenda which makes a lot of our news nonfactual. That's why we have to look for actual evidence of what was said or done as well as look for the entirety of what was said or done so we know it isn't taken out of context.

1) Trump announced the 25% tariff, and that was recorded and aired on multiple news outlets including the entire statement on YouTube.
2) Trump and Trudeau met at Mar-a-logo to discuss this.
3) Trudeau twitted about the delay and new agreement regarding what Canada was willing to do regarding border security and drug trafficking. After that, the meeting was announced by numerous news outlets in the US which explains Trudeau's tweet.
4) Trump confirmed the meeting, delay, and what Trudeau said.
5) Trump then announced the steel & aluminum tariff for everyone we purchase those products from.

All of Trump's announcements have been filmed and are available on YT, Twitter, and/or Trump's version of Twitter (I forget what it is called). I've only seen Trudeau's statements on Twitter. They are likely available elsewhere as well.

I see the new S&A tariff as causing prices to go up either directly due to the product coming in or by the US companies simply charging a bit more which will affect everyday consumer goods such as beverages that ship in aluminum cans, etc., but that is likely temporary.

There is a lot of anti tariff mindsets in the US due to what Reagan did during his presidency which by the way likely was the right thing to do at the time, but times have changed. Trump is correct that is made us weaker both through border security (which is affected by a lot more than trade) and in terms of global GDP, so again, times have changed.

I know. I'm not quite sure what you're arguing, tbh.

Your saying he said no tariffs then made a tariff. I simply said he didn't say no tariffs, and he agreed to delay what he had proposed but I don't really want to continue to argue that since we seem to be going in circles.

Thanks for the link.

Yeah. It gave everyone a short term sugar high when trade was opened up. It definitely hasn't played out well.

I can tell you this for a fact. The fake news is not unique to America. Im sure It's a worldwide problem. In many ways it's worse in Australia.
My opinion of Mr beard is not so low that I assum he un skepticaly believes his local news.
