Less than 1% of the fentanyl and illegals entering the US comes from Canada.i dont know about that man...precursors ship in from china thru a largely unchecked port of vancouver while there have been several large fentynal labs busted in BC in the last year .we also have thousands of missing foreign students and migrants who could be anywhere
There is no doubt Canada needs to tighten it's own borders, this doesn't translate to much when looking at the big picture of the problem in the US.
The vast majority still comes from Mexico. Trumps actions wouldn't be as unreasonable if his first campaign didn't have the Southern border as one of the main focal points. Trump and his supports went from build a big beautiful wall that Mexico will pay for to he really meant 452 miles all along and he did what he promised and the border is secure and Trump supporters took their victory lap. But here we are a few years later and the problem of the southern border is at the forefront. While Biden's polices certainly had an influence, Biden didn't tear down the wall, in fact he added a little bit to it.
Likewise, trade was another focal points for both Trump administrations. Trump continuously makes false and misleading claims about North American trade, which in turn in parroted by his supporters, but yet we are operating under Trump's own trade agreement. He ripped up NAFTA and the three countries signed the pro-US USMCA.
