Very cool fight. AS wins this but I give more credit to Diaz. A WW just went 5 rounds with the GOAT and was never in trouble, never played into AS game and held his own. Great tune up fight for AS and I really hope to see him back into his killer form.

Pretty good traffic for a new site IMO. Fun chatting with you guys during this card. What a fun night of fights. That fight really went about as perfect as it could. Just insanity. Anderson ended up looking very good and Diaz more than hung in there.

silva didn't look that good to me. he won't beat weidman like that, ever.
It was a very strange fight. I know Nick wanted to fight on the counter and you are playing in to Anderson's game by leading, but fuck I wanted to see if Nick could pressure him like no one else. I'm slightly disappointed that he didn't do more and got outworked.
Man I , ove both fighters they put on an awesome fight, I wish they could both win
Congrats to Anderson Silva, coming back from what happened and fighting today is nothing short of amazing! Also major props to Nick Diaz for having the balls to fight one of the goats in MMA world.

Silva has always has a wrestling weakness and I had always thought chael would be the man (size + didn't do the hendo and forget he can wrestle).
But Weidman's striking will always be multiplied by the threat of wrestling.
I have to agree with Nick a little. Nick lliterally laid down for him and gave him every free shot. Anderson had periods where he stood there and did nothing MANY times because Diaz was not walking forward. Then again, that's kinda what he has always done when fighters don't go after him.
But hearing how he spoke after the fight, who knows. He said some crazy shit post fight before. Crazy emotions, adrenaline etc. So who knows

if anything, that fight made diaz look great. his defense was amazing, and he landed quite a bit. silva had a hard time landing shots.
Nick should feel proud that he just went 5 rounds with Anderson and was never really threatened. Says a lot about his will, heart, and abilities. He may not be the most talented fighter on the roster, but he's got the biggest balls, always shows up to fight, and does things his way. I for one, respect that.
