I'm gonna put it out there, i thought Diaz won, but ha hoo it was close and could of gone either way. That scoring was pretty bad though, it makes our great sport look bad.

i disagee, great fight though either way, i dont think a loss hurts diaz in this case

It's only the nosebleed sections in my experience in Vegas. The more the seats cost the less knuckleheads you get is my observation.

if anything, that fight made diaz look great. his defense was amazing, and he landed quite a bit. silva had a hard time landing shots.

Those pics are perfect. Sums up most the fight really. I've taken issue before with counter fighters, last night wasn't horrible but it really shows how that came plan can make for a strange fight. The shitty part is that the guy who's labeled as the counter fighter usually gets a pass as it's expected. When Nick or whoever chooses not to step into the traps he get strikes against him from the fans and judges. Andy won the fight but I think it shows that if your not an over aggressive striker and have a killer ground game you'll probably have some or a lot of success against Silva. Worked for Weidman and it makes me wish we saw GSP take the fight.

Well I think it was more a show than a fight. Anderson Silva did not show up to the fight, I saw a shell of himself that would be cracked open by anyone in the top 5. He certainly isn't top 3 material. I understand the respect the UFC is giving him, but after watching a 170 LB divisioner not even ranked in the top 15 of WW go 5 rounds and basically wasn't even hurt shows me that if Silva continues he more than likely will go to sleep in the ring. I have to wonder now tho, with the interview coming out that he would never wear reebok was it a sign he will retire? after watching him last night Id say that was a great sign.
