I think they only test for recreational drugs a few weeks prior to the fightno way Conor can make it through an entire camp without cocaine, I guarantee he will fail a drugs test if he returns
yeah I know, in-competition testing. I see why my phrasing was misleading, but to finish his camp he'd need to be drug free even a few weeks prior to the event as you say.I think they only test for recreational drugs a few weeks prior to the fight
He can certainly stay away from partyingyeah I know, in-competition testing. I see why my phrasing was misleading, but to finish his camp he'd need to be drug free even a few weeks prior to the event as you say.
Such a goombah way of doing business. Just sign contracts that include stated guarantees.@conor mcgregor nut hugger
Also remember the early days of UFC were based around the WWE model at that time.
WWE pays a downsized guarantee & then bonuses depending on how good the shows/events do.
Most performers make more on bonuses than guarantee, so that model was part of the premise.
"you'll get this for sure, but if the event does good, you'll get more"
all pre-champ champ and pre-mayweather, we've seen nothing but cocaine fueled madness since thenHe can certainly stay away from partying
One thing about him is the fact he always made weight & always showed up ready to fight.
He seems to be an extremist in that regards.
He is ALL-IN, no matter what he does.
I think that is a big reason he backed out of signing the NYE fight with Ferguson.
When UFC met his demands, he changed them again (before Bellator thing), because he wasn't ready to drop everything to fight
I agree & that was my point about why he never signed when it looked like he was.all pre-champ champ and pre-mayweather, we've seen nothing but cocaine fueled madness since then
GSP flat refused the fight. He beat the (much) better of the Diaz brothers, so he doesn't see any sense in using one of the few fights he has left fighting Nate.It is a cool idea. Do you think Nate really declined the fight or do you think the UFC just didn't offer him enough?
I think GSP is taking money fights regardless of opponent but possibly refused the fight due to his health not being 100%.GSP flat refused the fight. He beat the (much) better of the Diaz brothers, so he doesn't see any sense in using one of the few fights he has left fighting Nate.
My post was based on his public statements. Once he's healthy he wants Khabib or Conor, whoever has the belt.I think GSP is taking money fights regardless of opponent but possibly refused the fight due to his health not being 100%.
Let's be honest, everyone in MMA wants the chance to fight Conor (which Georges would've gotten had he predictably beaten Nate).
