I've been talking about buying a Tele for about 10 years.
I just need to bite the bullet and do it.
Hah, I’ve been threatening to do it for a few years myself. Same thing, just need to bite the bullet. I’ve been scouring over all the models and have it narrowed down to a few. This JP one is awesome, and is only $1400 which isn’t crazy as far as electrics go.

Any idea which tele model you’d go with?

American Original '50s
I've only played acoustics for the last 20 years, so the larger neck suits me.

I'll play all the models before purchasing one, but so far this is the one I have my eye on.

Same here, I only play acoustic.

The neck is where I don’t know what I want. There are a lot more options than I previously realized. Options with frets too, medium jumbo, super jumbo, etc. I’ve gone a couple of times to sample, but I really need to nail down what feels right for me.

Yeah. All you can really do is play them and see which one feels best. I usually don't even plug them in. That 50s model is so heavy - that's the only thing that doesn't feel right. But all electrics feel heavy as shit to me. Haha.

my cousin is a guitar instructor and works at a guitar shop...if you want, I can put you in touch and you can ask whatever you want.

Needed this so bad this morning.

and TIL that this song was recorded and mixed in an hour. What you hear below was a one-take live session.

when GnR and Crue were getting marketable, Skid Row was taking Pantera on tour.

Fuck, I used to love Skid Row so much.
Shame really that Bach turned into a complete parody of himself. Either that or 14 year old me just fell for it.

Skid Row got tired of saying "We sound heavier live" after their first album, so when they came out with Slave they were like fuck it - let's just record it like we play it live.

Hauler Nugget: The cover art to that album was painted by Bach's father.
