What do you think MSG main event will be?

Honestly I don't know why they didn't bank on Diaz in the main event. That fight needs to be 5 rounds and there really aren't many others that could shadow that match up for that time frame. JBJ is still up in the air. Silva is a no go. DC isn't fighting that early (too risky) etc etc. As mentioned before, unless it's the co-main for a Conor fight it makes no sense to give Nate and Dustin a co-main with only 3 rounds IMHO.

Maybe its the back-up in case a bigger main does not occur

I heard a theory, I think from a podcast, or maybe I was just high...

the MSG main event is empty in case something goes wrong with Khabib / Conor,(like someone missing weight) then they can reschedule it as the main event for the MSG card.

if everything goes smoothly for Oct 6, then they'll bump Diaz / Poirer as the main event of MSG, cuz IMO the fight is big enough.

The Oct6 card is kind of weak besides the main event compared to super stacked Nov card, but UFC betting on the idea no need to stack up with Conor on card, so if everything goes smooth, they have 2 opportunities to do big ppv numbers, if not, still got insurance of the super card in Nov.

my speculation of why Diaz stormed out early is that UFC probably told him they were the main event, but when Diaz learned about UFC's insurance plan and not announcing their fight as the main, Diaz went Diaz.

and Kevin Lee could train all he wants, they'll never replace Khabib / Conor with anyone else

Little over 2 months out and still nothing. They announced the ticket date for the Event the following week today. Really starting to wonder what’s gonna happen here considering the lack of options on the table.

Meltzer said he was told they are still holding out hope for Jones.
Went off about how badly this could look for USADA if he gets anything less than 2 years

I figure that’s the case. I just wonder what happens when we’re 60 days out and that falls through.
 
As much as I would love to see Jones back and headlining, I would be really curious to see what kind of numbers Diaz/Porier could do as the main event. My prediction, if Jones can’t come back, plan B will be Cormier LHW defense against Gus, and plan C would be bumping Diaz/Porier to main event.

Cormier is already talking like he has no intention of fighting at 205 again

I don't see how they can justify it if it happens. Jones offered literally no explanation of how the drugs got into his system
 
GSP is dropping to LW....one pre-title fight against Justin Gaethje. Then the winner of Conor/Khabib
