In pancras yes but that was the rule set from the start , think it would be next to impossible the promote fighters to take on a pancreas style in modern mma ...... plus it would suck
You have a good point but I do think that fighters would be able to adapt to that change. Why do you think it would suck? Just to be clear, I'm completely fine with the gloves and don't see why fighters should go bare knuckle

I think it would give striking a big disadvantage and would lead to a lot of fights turn into shitty ju jitsu matches . IMO the rule set has never been better , it's by no means perfect but definitely the best it's been

Could be. It would be interesting to see a few bare knuckle fights in modern mma

One fifteen minute round. Important fights get a double overtime option. If the fight isn't finished in 15 minutes, it's a draw. If fight isn't over in 25 minutes, it's a draw.

No biting.
No eye gouging.
No fish hooking.
No groin shots.

Kicks/knees to a grounded opponent is encouraged

Headbutts, are encouraged

Fighters who finish and put on action packed fights advance further than one's who go to a draw with less action.
Can one attack using the groin? I believe Greg Jackson has advocated this as legitimate a strategy before.

Such a statement that I have been doing these kind of threads for over a decade here and on the *other place* and it is still 83% to 17% in favor of less restrictive rules than what basically every major org has in place...

I think plenty of serious high level BJJ guys would like to fight without gloves for the huge advantage it gives them in grappling.

I think they need to change the grounded opponent rule.

a grounded opponent should be someone who is on both knees or no limbs at all (laying on their back).
